Consider both ninjas, for example. So I don't think this precludes the chance of MC at some point in his future going back to, say, late 1998 or early 1999 and getting Tiffany pregnant. I don't think that's what happened--from everything I've seen, I think Jessica is Eric's kid--but I do expect we'll see more flexibility in his time travels, which would allow for it.

With the current timing we've seen, the only one MC could have fathered would be Skylar.

You're missing a couple lol. Personally I'm satisfied that Jessica is Eric's kid, so I already wrote off the option of MC fathering his sister. Skylar though, and the twins, and who knows who else at this point, are alll fair game.

Yep. Plus the timelines as they currently are don't add up. Skylar is around the same age as Jessica, so we'd have to knock up Luna in '99. Given how the last episode ended I really doubt that'll happen, which kind of sucks because '99 Luna is one of my favorites in either time period. I just hope that '19 Luna is still as great as she was when younger and that we can turn things around with her.

The rest are too young. The MC would have to come back to '00-'01 and get their mothers pregnant then. While possible it hasn't happened in game yet. And probably won't due to Patreon.

tbh, this really keeps me from getting invested in Ripples' story anymore. it feels like all of the foreshadowing/setups/dynamics are destined to go nowhere, there's really no point speculating on anything because most of it was written for a totally different story.

writing a time travel story is complicated enough, i cant imagine having to redirect a time travel story once it's already started... I do not envy Jestur one bit

Agreed. I'm not a fan of incest but it doesn't bother me either. And in this story if it wasn't tied to Patreon it'd make it fun to wonder about who's related to who and the implications of it all. It being on Patreon does take some of the fun out of that.

Luckily this game doesn't rely solely on the potential time twisted incest weirdness to still have a great story and lots of amazing women to spend time with. And there's still a lot of mysteries to speculate about.

I mean, sure, if MC takes another trip back in a year or so. Skylar's 19--allow 9 months for gestation, and that fits quite nicely with MC having fathered her 20 years ago. Alice, Alyssa, Darci, Dani, and Shelby are all 18--too young. Daphne is 21--too old. Allow for MC being able to travel by something other than exactly 20 years (which does seem fairly plausible), or suppose he travels again in a year or so, and all of those (except maybe Daphne) become possible. But that isn't "with the current timing we've seen."

Yes but either they never had been reported by enough people or heavily reported with evidence from some offended (Powerful) party and never been investigated due to their content or they have an written agreement with patreon at the time when they started the game that those are the tags/content the game will have during development and they can't touch the game.

I don't see any other option (maybe there is more though) because how do you explain the number of games with incest content and other content that goes against their rules/TOS to be investigated and nuked from the platform? because weren't just 1 or 2 games/developers, weren't "isolated" cases, was almost an witch hunt at a certain point of time lol.

Jestur already changed this to remove incest once because of the Patreon crackdown. I don't see them adding it back in again after doing that. It'd make the initial change pointless. There's a SubStar for this, but even that isn't foolproof because they have the same rules as Patreon. They just haven't been made to enforce them yet by the payment processors. Key word there being yet.

It's entirely possible Jestur just says fuck it and does make the MC the father of some of the '19 girls. But it'd be a huge risk and could potentially cost them a lot of money.

I'm aware, as I've played that game as well and several others with "fan" patches or relationships you can manually define. I also know that the default in the Patreon version of that game is for them not to be blood related, and given the culture they live in in that game, being related doesn't fundamentally alter the story or their romantic relationship with MC as it's just an accepted part of their culture.

It would be a different case with Ripples, as I cannot imagine the 2019 LIs just shrugging off MC being the father without significant dialogue alteration, not to mention the potentially different time-travel mechanics in order to make the ages work. And, as mentioned above, the fact that Jestur has already changed the game once to comply with Patreon is a pretty strong indicator that he's not keen on taking the risk with "fan" patches or relationships you can manually set with in-game settings.

Yeah, and Ripples contrary to most games that feature incest via patches makes sense without it. I mean Tiffany isn't "landlady" and in the last update MC tells Jenny that he considers Tiffany his mom, we don't have the awkward dialogue like in most incest games that don't work well without the patch.

He made Tiffany your Dads friend and neighbor who took you in after the accident. Prior to that Tiffany was your mother, Jessica your half-sister and Jenny your aunt.
