So after the latest update, I started realized I was a bit confused on the relations between present and past characters and started mapping it out, but I was curious if there were connections I missed, even implied ones.

Darci's family tree has: Jackie (grandmother), Gabby (mother), Darci
Krystal's is: Khloe (mother), Krystal
Skylar's is: Luna (mother), Skylar
Scarlett's family tree is: Scarlett, April (sister), Alice (daughter), Alyssa (daughter)
Tiffany's family tree is: Tiffany, Jenny (sister), Jessica (daughter), MC (son)
Brad's tree is: Mark (dad), Brad
Dani's family tree is: Cindy (great aunt), Misty (mother), Dani

Are there any other characters with connections to past characters. Shelby, Daphne, Janelle, Lizzie, Riley? Was anything else established that I missed?

To add to that IF the fans theory that say Jackie is Jenny will become true then later you have to add them to Tiffany's family tree or call it Tiffany's/Jenny's family tree.

We all know certain things won’t happen in the game anyway, either for reasons of coherence, timeline consistency, or due to Patreon’s TOS (or anything related to the current trend of censorship affecting NSFW games across various platforms).

Well that was disappointing, 2 and now at least in part 3 updates in the past.

I hope this is it, I love this game but we need more time in the present not the past.

This is one of the best games in this site without a doubt. The animations are always are really good, the characters look great, and the most important thing the writing is always on point and interesting.

With that said I wonder if I'm the only one disappointed a little bit? By how little the story moved. Generally I am not one to care much which character gets more attention than others specially in games where all the characters seem cool (although from reading the thread I did go back and notice some of the characters seem to be moving a lot slower than others) but the update felt like 80% fan service with the party and then 20% actual plot, which not very gracefully brings me to my next point is plot wise it seems kind of ridiculous how easy Jenny not only believes you when you tell her the truth, but also is just completely fine with you being her nephew?? I understand that "officially" you're not related but to me that's obviously 100% patreon things, and it's kind of weird how she goes from really wholesome but in secret really horny to in the next scene being like "you being my nephew makes this hotter" that really threw me off.

I'm sure it's not the most popular opinion but I really would've been fine with the story moving further at the expense of some of the party scene (with that said Vanessa was my favorite character introduced in the update and I don't really know why) and she probably would've had no scene in that universe

At the start of the game when you come back from class and read your messages, you get a weird message with no name that I think is her (She makes a comment to Shelby about being to someone, when you're at the park at night IIRC)
When you talk to her again on ch 5 she talks to you about "what happened last week" but MC doesn't seem to know what she's talking about. On that same chapter when Riley hits the principal with the bat, she mentions "what you did to that girl last week" which might not be related but it's weird because we have no context of anything else happening at that time.

Dani also seems like she's aware shit's about to go down when the Shit Ninja appears (although that's a lot more likely to be future Darci IMO than future Dani if ch7 is anything to go by)

Danni definitely has interacted with a future version of you at some point before the first day of class, actually the first day is interesting when you replay it because there are some suspicious background characters there if you pay attention, like the principal walking down the corridor looking at you while another hidden figure behind apparently spying on the principal which seems to be a future version of you.

Lizzie also had some coments about being a lesbian and only being with one guy in the past or something like that while looking at you which makes me think that's also one of our travels probably at some point we visit before the first day of class.

Shit ninja at this point I would say is guaranteed to be future Darci unless he is going with several people being the ninja, but the moves he pulled and the whole costume makes me think more of Darci than being someone else.

it seems kind of ridiculous how easy Jenny not only believes you when you tell her the truth

• Jenny's fallen hard for MC, which is going to make her inclined to believe him.
• She's smart and attentive enough to realize his story doesn't add up, and presumably that applies when he is telling the truth.
  • Specifically, she's upset that "it's the only time you're not sincere with me." If she's paying enough attention to MC to tell when he's sincere and when he's not, she'll know he is now.
• She knows there's a lot of shady stuff going on at the power plant anyway
• She has to know that Cindy's arrival and everything that happened with it is completely disproportionate to "unauthorized party at her house." She's hiding in the woods, ffs.
• If anything, the outlandishness of MC's story could make it more believable--it justifies MC's presumed belief that "I can't tell her the truth; she'd never believe it."

You still need a healthy dose of suspension of disbelief, but if any of the 1999 LIs would understand and believe MC, it would be Jenny.

You play with the patch, you're going to get what you're going to get. And even if that was the original plan (i.e., that MC is Tiffany's son/Jenny's nephew), the dialogue surrounding that "restored" relationship is pure fanfiction. I also played through this update with the patch, and also found that dialogue over-the-top, but I'm not going to blame Jestur for dialogue he didn't write.

On the "this whole update just for one party?" issue:

• Several folks upthread have mentioned this is a farewell to 1999. I hope that isn't true, mostly for Jenny's sake (I'm sure it's obvious that I'm very fond of her), also for Luna's and Scarlett's, but I can't deny it feels that way. So let's send it out with a bang, I guess.
• While there isn't a lot of plot development, there's quite a bit of relationship development. As one who seems to be really into the relationship piece (which is a big part of why I've fallen for Jenny), that seems worthwhile to me.
• The plot point that does come out--that Cindy's fully aware of what's going on at the plant--is kind of a big one, isn't it?

Thanks, just exactly what I thought when saw that critic lol if they have that complaint then better they go to LightmanP mod thread and complain there, because the I patch is written/adapted by them, at least since the original patch was "discontinued".

Maybe they can help him write a better version of the patch lol For sure LightmanP needs and will be glad for the help because they are good coders but doesn't mean they are or ever will be good porn writers and make it sexier and "natural" hehe.

It might also be a factor for me that I hadn't played through 0.7 with the i-patch, so seeing that dialogue in 0.8 was a little jarring. That's entirely my own fault; I decided to install the patch. But if I'd played through, start to (current) finish, with that installed, it might fit a bit better for me.

IMO, "Jenny's just so into MC that once she finds out he's her nephew, she just doesn't care" is probably the most plausible way to address this. The dialogue during the scene (the variations on "us being related just makes it hotter") takes it too far for her character, IMO. It would probably fit for Khloe, and definitely for Riley, though MC isn't related to either of them.
