I am writing the month end progress report a few days later than usual, mainly because I really have nothing to write about. Compared to the hectic and exciting months of the summer, the first month of autumn was absolutely uneventful. But I'm not complaining. A quiet month is good. The new HDD arrived in early September, twice as big as its predecessor, so I have plenty of space, and the new power supply has made my machine more stable and a bit faster than the one that died. Thanks to this, the work went smoothly and 150+ images and two animations were produced.
What I can share is that my main goal is to finish the whole of Chapter 10 by 31 December, so there will be no more Alpha versions, I will release the final version. Whether this will work, I don't know yet. If I can finish the "Rick stayed at home" section (this is the last, really complicated section) by the end of October, there's a good chance I'll have my plan together.
Plus I am planning a computer upgrade for next year, starting with a new VGA. This would significantly speed up rendering time.

I'm confused - does the completion of "alpha" versions imply he'd be done with the other island permutations like Cora going with Daniel? Or are those scrapped? Confused because him making it sound like things are winding down suggests a majority of those island paths are finished, no?

Damn, this is one great VN, though i was disappointed the MC stay home path wasn't yet done, i did enjoy the vn alot, the story is amazingly well told, the path really matter on how things will turn out, didn't yet play all paths yet, but the MC - Cora go island was good, though I somewhat expected Cora would have some fun with Reg, seems it only possible if take the love path road, wish there is also options for friend with benefits path, kinda love Cora can be with other men, but her love only stays for Rick.

Well keep up the good work, looking forward to more fleshed out updates and love to see how Rick can become the new ruler, who keep the city clean and safe.

Well, October was also relatively uneventful, I was able to make good progress. Although I had previously planned to work on one storyline at a time, I will eventually try to carry on with all the pending storylines. On the one hand, this makes my progress more transparent, and on the other hand, there's less chance of me missing something, which unfortunately has happened.

So in October, I made the most progress with "Rick, Miri and Ash's hike", but also expanded the "Rick-Ash hike", "Rick isn't going anywhere", "Cora-Daniel trip" and "Cora-Miri trip" stories. The only story line I don't have time for is the "Cora-Beth trip".

And I'm a bit stuck with the "Rick, Mir, Ash hike" storyline, because there will be a game of "truth or dare" between the trio, which seemed like a good idea in the script, but while programming I realized that it doesn't work in the way I had imagined. So now I need to rework it, simplify it, so that the flow of the game is easy to follow. But, while I'm working on that, I'm rendering the images for the other story threads.

And that's pretty much what happened in October. Since I'll be making better progress with the other stories in November, I'll try to post a bit more frequently than in October, when most of the renders are just our heroes talking (I only started the Cora-travel story threads in the last week, but I've already done over a hundred pictures for them).

Oh lit gonna try it out. Does it update often? or is it like other devs suddenly getting sick/some unfortunate thing happens that impedes progress?

Yeah, Daniel honestly reminds me more of the Rick model but after forcefully getting his hair dyed red and beaten with an ugly stick.

Unless the dude in the pick had an extreme makeover... I don't think that' Daniel.
