VN Ren'Py Abandoned Robbin' Hoods [0.4.2] [madmate.games]

I wanna thank you madmate.games, you basically got me into 3d visual novels. At the time it was the best visual novel I've ever played, and it's still probably my second favorite at this point after Rebirth. Thank you so much for making this!

Hey, guys. Long time no talk.

Reading through the comments, there seems to be a bit of confusion that needs to be cleared out.

tl;dr version is that this project had a dual purpose - to gather sufficient experience and to see if various ideas I had were viable.
I've gotten the answers I needed by the release of chapter three and then started working on a new project in parallel with this one.
A few days after the 0.4.2 release, I've announced that, for the time being, Robbin' Hoods will be put on a back burner while I'll be completely refocusing on a new project, similar in tone and design, but hopefully more refined.
In the mean time I've had numerous unfortunate setbacks, a few of which were my fault, but the new project is nearing the finished state and should see the light of day soon-ish.

The snippet that was posted, copied from the patreon page, was referring to an early demo build for the project I'm currently working on that I released to my patreons to gather some initial feedback.

There is replay value in choosing between the gurls, but the fiery babe trumps all competition.

-I am highly dazzled by such ways of speaking in so many dialogues.-
- (I am really very surprised at the quality of this game-novel)
It must be at least two dozen times now when I play it ... - then I really liked it. (i can help myself to play it again and again...)
This one is a pure and rare diamont.

Recently replayed this and realized how much I really enjoyed it. A shame its on the backburner, but I will look forward to the other project planned, and also hope maybe this game will finish one day as I am pretty invested in what the story has shown thus far.

I have to agree with DuckDairyDip, its pretty good and I'm enjoying it a lot. Good writing too. I don't agree with CigZag... I really like Malady, her personality is very entertaining, Imho. I hope madmate.games comes back to it soon. An update would probably get more patrons also. Cheers!

MC's attitude was a bit inconsistent. I still really like the game, but I remember thinking his behavior was not that clear.

Understatement of the year

He went from "oh how much you love your sister" in First release, to spending the whole second release reading a book while his sister was missing, to going full movie spy breaking into a cop's apartment on release 3.....

Both the robed man and the inconsistencies in the MC and story killed this game for me

unlikely, since this game was just a test case for ideas he had for making another game. he has since already switched over to that game full-time and there is only a slight chance he takes a break from that one and comes back to this one. just scroll up and see his post.

I'm always excited for new vampire themed games. I typically like to wait for the 2nd or 3rd update and there is enough content worth playing but from the screens I'm especially tempted to make an exception and play the current release. The only other question mark I have is the sandbox tag, which ordinarily is the kiss of death for me as I avoid those like the plague. I'm ok with a bit of free roam, but I hate having to grind repetitive events/resources while guessing where to go to progress the story.
