I'm playing version 6.1, Dicktacles still work, but (I think) it gets nerfed. I've cleared novos, deep forest, ornesse, and summeredge, my rulwe is nowhere as strong as yours.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this before but pro tip here: Rescue the Succubus in the Warlock Tower ( it's next to the portal called Warlock Tower ) to be able to skip future battles and get about 30k gold as well before starting Act 1.

honestly the AI art replacement isn't what I hate about this "Gold" edition. It's the obvious lack of care that went into revision and playtesting. The 5.8 version is magnitudes more stable and bug free, and it's biggest complaint was the bugs it had. It's like Kal was alley-ooping himself to filter feed bug fixes on Patreon for another year on Roundscape.
I like the changes to combat and UI. I like the new origin idea/slight changes to story. I love the idea of passing over the game and polishing its art. Instead, the combat/leveling is broken, the origin is barebones and the changes broke continuity, and the art is hit or miss, with GrandPaBrowning showing us on here both examples of really good changes, and some that look like the vagina and the dick fused into a macabre, Cronenberg renditions of the original.
It seems like Kal did 1/3 of each of these things, instead of fully doing/committing to any of them.

In my attempts of moving saves from 6.0A to 6.1 I've founds that Rulwe seems to have a cap on how strong he can grow. He was somewhere around 900+ hp when I've tried it first, and at that point winning battles no longer grown his stats. So I stick to 6.0A just to see how ridiculous I can get him.
Also, since devs generously fucked leveling beyond recognition, I do not consider it an exploit. Seriously, with other party except Hero doing squat, I either abuse Rulwe or grind my mind out.

Precisely well said. Most AI pics in Rounscape are bad, but tolerably bad, spare for a few nice or horrendous examples. Complete lack of care, however, is anything but tolerable. Sadly, AI here seems to be a symptom of this lack of care rather than a genuine feature.

So you're telling me one of the most popular lewd games ever, with a ridiculous amount of revenue, can't afford to hire artists to touch up the "AI-enhanced" images, and instead just throws them in with all sorts of anatomical and stylistic and continuity mistakes? geee what a surprise, totally didn't expect it
Fucking disgrace. All they had to do was pay artists to ensure the AI filter stuff wouldn't look off, there's a LOT of artists perfectly willing to work with AI as long as they're being paid for their work like they would otherwise, but these mfs just took the cheapest approach possible. It's infuriating, they already have a metric fuckton of art as a base to work off of, and they have the money to pay top grade artists to ensure it's all brought up to parity, hell they could probably afford hiring a team of artists to *manually* re-draw the entire thing with a single style. Instead they choose to prove why we can't have nice things.

Another good point. There is nothing bad in using AI, but AI as it is now struggles to deliver quality product. Easy and intuitive remedy would be hiring an artist who would work on AI-generated image to relieve it from defects. Besides, if AI-image would receive such polishing, artist could bring their own touch, which would greatly help. Especially in departments such as general style (AI-images tend to be very repetive), facial expressions and body language (AI has very poor grasp of emotions, tends to make every character doll-like).
I even suspect that some scenes were done in this way. Three better scenes I've found is Succubus/Dog, Hero/elven priestess and Tyshtira/Dykesprings girls. In case of latter two and especially the last I strongly suspect there was a living touch, but I can't figure it out concretely.

I suspect they might have started with the idea of having artists touch up the AI stuff, realized that artists would (rightly) charge as much for their work on editing these pictures as if they were working on stuff from scratch, and very quickly decided that they'd rather keep hoarding money instead at the cost of quality, especially since having artists fix things would have taken longer than just getting the bare minimum from Stable Diffusion, and the sooner they put out any given update, the sooner they get more money. It's not the first project I've seen in the past year where this has happened.

Sadly, I lean to the same conclusion. There is hardly a way they didn't have enough money and there is hardly a way they didn't have another option but using AI as is.
So, yeah, if it walks like greed, flies like greed and quaks like greed, its likely to be greed. And I would like to be wrong on this one.

I genuinely really want this game to succeed, but exactly, Occam's Razor friend. The conclusion that requires the fewest assumptions is usually the winner, and all signs point to "I couldn't be assed to spending more money, so we put it through the meat grinder for cheap. Have you 'Gold Edition' ya losers. Sub on Patreon as I iron out these bugs over the next year or two."
The world map for travel is bugged, it doesn't show place names anymore, is there any way to fix it?

Also, another sad point is that AI can generate MUCH better pictures than most of what we seen in this game. If anyone wants to check it, browse rule34.xxx, sankaku or any other big porn-sites. So, we can't just blame AI - AI can make at least good enough pictures, and even pictures with their own style, not just soulless crap.
(though I suspect those are the cases of generations being put through very specific filters, perhaps ones that would mimic the style of certain artists)

Me too. I mean it mostly sucks and worse than old arts so why dev just didn't upscale old arts to new resolution is beyond me - after all AI actually pretty good at that. However, ridiculous amount of bugs and absolutely unnecessary changes is combat mechanics are much more infuriating if you ask me.
Ok just an idea what if the good artist was updating all the art but the date caught up to them, so the AI is just a stop gap till all art is done. Just a thought.

For example, I have the strongest feeling that her eyes on the 2nd pic are not pointed into one directions. They are also heterochromic for some reason, and I suspect it wasn't done on purpose. Also, his cock is a bit weird around its head, like it has a ring of folded foreskin beneath it or whatever. Expressions are a bit off too, IMO, but truth be told, the original wasn't much better. Another bit is that her face is too human - originals depict her with completely inhuman eyes, which was clearly a purposeful feature. This bit, sadly, is lost in AI translation.
P.S. While original wasn't my favorite - heck, I think it was one of the weaker pictures - it also was one of more recognizable styles. A shame to lose something like that.
