I just quickly hacked it together with my version of Cat I've saved as a scene subset, which I have used a few times in this thread. Found a street sign generator, and screenshotted / GIMP'ed it in the picture (so it's not really behind the windshield, hah). Not happy with the lightning but whatever, the hype is real! Been eagerly waiting since this summer! Fuck the haters!

What changes between the early version and the final release? Ideally little things, but usually there are bug fixes, typos and some image corrections (no new content).

Let me guess, most of the horrible reviews were made by people who can't accept that even in a "positive and wholesome"game, it is possible for relationships OUTSIDE the MC's to exist?
And because there are existing relationships and because you can share something like getting a blowjob with another guy, they scream NTR and demand changes, because according to their own definitions, what is happening does not compute with what they believe they were "PROMISED" and so the dev, ACCORDING TO THEM, is being unreasonable and dishonest and whatnot?
I feel very tempted to be very, very lenient in my rating for the game, if that turns out to be what the whole BS is about.

Yeah, pretty much that. Don't give a lenient review, though, give a constructive one that actually helps people to determine if they should try the game and helps us to improve it. There's no point in balancing off less-than-helpful negative reviews with less-than-helpful positive ones.

I mean, lenient doesn't need to mean it wouldn't be useful.
Let's say I would be between a 3 and a 4 in my rating, in this case I would rather go with a 4 than with a 3, that's about the extent my leniency could entail.
I'm not in the habit of giving out freebies.
After playing the game, I am still considering whether I should write a review this early, because there really isn't much there for now. I might wait for the next version to drop here before I do an actual review.

Yeah, we're still very early in the game, introducing the characters and their relationships. I'd say about around Chapter 4 you will have a much better understanding on the different paths available. That said, I still hope you enjoy playing these early chapters, getting to know the characters and interacting with the game.

The negative reviews made me interested in seeing for myself: I've to admit I'm not really intrigued by how most of the girls look, but if the story is a happy, wholesome sex romp as it's been described, I could definitely enjoy it.

Wholesome? I stand by that even if some don't agree, but there is not and will not be any crimes, no murder, no drugs, no rape, no death, etc. The only really morally dubious actions are the MC's and only if the player chooses them.
Sex romp? Not at all. This isn't a slow burn game, but while there will be lots of sex in chapters to come, there's not much yet and in any case it shouldn't feel like a romp, but appropriate to each of the girls' character.

First, I don't have any patrons and neither do I make a single cent from this game, I'm creating it purely for my own enjoyment and share it with the public for those that might also enjoy it. We release the game free of charge after two weeks of patron only early access, which helps Zargon recoup the cost of assets, hardware and electricity and helps eliminating bugs before the public release. There is nothing about earning money or greed to be found here.
Second, interpretations of words may differ between different people, but I consider a game wholesome that, different to many others I've played, has no criminal activity, mafia, violence, rape, psycho-LIs burning down your house, etc. There's no troubled pasts and no looming current threats. Just some friends that sometimes squabble but mostly get along well. In my book, that's pretty wholesome.
Third, the game's MC is not cucked, not sexually vilified, or anything like this. There is optional, voluntary sharing and the possibility to spy on others engaging in sexual activity. All such situations are clearly pointed out and so can be avoided to be seen. If the player chooses so on the first such situation, he will automatically be prevented from seeing any such scene at all. There will be a few mentions of others being couples or engaging in sexual activity, mainly in the early chapters, as they are necessary to establish the characters and their relationships and allow the player an informed decision on which girls to pursue and how. For every LI, there is at least one path where she will be in a relationship with the MC and not engage in any further sexual activity with other males and these paths are always reachable without seeing that LI engaging in sexual activity with other males.
Fourth, it's ridiculous to say that a game is a fuckfest, when there's only been sexual activity with a single girl so far. In fact, the game features several possible LIs that are virgins, for some of which will take a long time before they will actually have sex with the MC. Other characters are different. I enjoy writing like this more than a story where everyone is just the same, either only virgins waiting for no one but the MC for a long, slow-burn only game, or an actual fuckfest where there's nothing to achieve beyond the first or second chapter because everyone is corrupted as hell.
Fifth, I could write a different story, for sure. But there are hundreds and thousands of stories here. Go play those that are to your liking. I will continue to write what I enjoy writing: A happy story, with girls with different personalities, with a life that happens even without the MC, with different paths that pose different challenges and feel differently. With male characters that are not just mere bystanders, comic relief, side kicks or villains, but are part of the story. And I will continue to share it, free of charge, with those that also enjoy this. I hold no grief against anyone that doesn't like that kind of story, but I kindly ask them to move on and find games that they enjoy instead of getting riled up about one that they clearly don't. That won't help anybody at all.

I have a question.
When the LI gets into a relationship with the MC/player will there still be an option for sharing or an open relationship thing or is it gonna be different depending on each LI?
(Also totally agree with your definition of "wholesome".)
From my understanding, this is a game focused on the interactions of a group of friends and their relationships with each other rather than a game focused on the player collecting "pokemon"(girls) so it would make sense that some of the characters would develop a relationship if they aren't already in one.

I think what the original guy meant more by wholesome was the word "grounded". It sounds like it wont be full of weeb themes with starter pack female characters, over the top convoluted conspiracy stories, etc. I'm very glad to hear a game just focused on a group of friends having sex and fun.
