To my dear supporters.. I'm so sad to announce that the development of Runaway Princess has officially ceased. I cannot share the details but it's about the legal issue in where I live (Porns are prohibited in here, even though it's 21st century). I am so sorry to say that I cannot keep providing updates anymore, and I am really grateful to you at the same time, for supporting my humble game so far. I'm closing down the patreon page too, to avoid any future problems. I really hope I can come back to continue developing this project some day. I hope all the best to you, and I hope you don't get too annoyed or depressed by my decision..

It's so incredibly sad. It's one of the best games I've seen here for all these years I've been playing. Insane potential. Reasoning is kinda interesting tho. Porn prohibited suggests most likely middle eastern country. Dunno about any developed country where such thing would be a problem. Even tho I understand, dev really pissed me off. He could have released new update at least, since it's been in work for a long time and we know it's in pretty advanced stage. What a bummer. Hope he'll return one day.
Here goes my favorite game. I’m really sad it is abandoned.

It's possible, but it's surprising how conservative the laws are in some developed countries, like the UK. There is a law called the Obscene Publications Acts in the UK, that is rarely enforced but is still active. This law is also present in many of its former colonies because they just kept on using its laws. Technically if a police officer or a judge deems whatever a person publishes to be "obscene", including porn, he can be charged with this crime. I have seen a guy being charged with this crime on the news before, so it's not impossible.

Highly unlikely. Most conservative western countries are far more progressive than middle east and some fringe laws from past eras are basically dead. Sure some singular case could happen but it's not realistic for anyone to be afraid of publishing porn in UK or anywhere in Europe. Very unfortunate sadly.
If you call banning books or artwork progressive, brother, we have different definitions. That's not to say on the WHOLE western europe is more conservative than the middle east, it's not, but in areas of obscenity laws in media, they sure have some head-scratchers.
