Well, as the guy working on making the remake sound good enough to earn the respect of the previous fans of RP and new players alike, it has been a tall order; fraught with problems, staff changes, apartment fires, a lot of illness and the occasional troll trying to threaten us with dire consequences for doing things like including NTR (there is some; some of which is avoidable, some which isn't (because if it were there would be no point in making the game - it is literally an integral part of the story)) or including illegal content (there is none at all, and it is totally stupid to suggest otherwise).

I have recreated and extended the original title music, created 5 brand new character theme songs using the original as a foundation, created a new song that will feature in the new prelude, recreated almost 100 sound effects and environment tracks from scratch using fully attributed samples (that's just in the first release, which is half of the original Willowdale content). I have spent hundreds of hours doing this since I joined the group in October 2023, while also working on 3 other games and being VERY active on Discord. This isn't a complaint, nor a boast, it's more to try to reassure people that even though we have not released much apart from a few in-game and special renders, we are most defiinitely working on the game.

I want this game to succeed. I want old players to nod with respect. I want new players to raise their eyebrows in surprise. My feet are on the ground though and I expect there will be some who really don't like it. That is the way of things, you can't like everything. I have loved working on this game though, and I hope that that love comes across when people play it.

TLDR - I do the music/sfx, there's lots of new stuff, I hope our work pays off. Oh, and NTR.

i agree but dont believe
I understand your hesitation, Fairtail, but am a little puzzled by it. I mean, I can't think of a single developer who's been able to revive an abandoned game successfully and carried it forward. We intend to be one of the first if not the first.

You don't have to believe that. You don't have to join the Discord server and find out for yourself the progress of the ReImagined rebuild. You don't have to support the game with even a $1 donation of support via Patreon or Subscribestar. You don't even have to consider the possibility that someone is trying to carry on a game that you clearly like.

But the game is happening. That's as sure as water being wet and the sun rising up on the morrow.

Rather than being negative about the prospect of the game's renewal, you could just sit back and wait until the game is released, and just play it. If you choose to support the game, you get renders from the game, news about release, get to ask questions about the game, and even get the game earlier than most. I get that early release isn't such a big thing [especially here], but some people like having the early access - especially those who are impatient or want to be rewarded for their patience.

And I do apologize for the game's long development time. It haas taken a fair amount of time to assemble a kick-ass team of like-minded devs to reconstruct the game from the ground up while holding onto the spirit and a lot of the content of the game.

So, there it is, Fairtail. You can remain doubtful that the sun will again rise, or look forward to it. It's all your choice.

I believe you guys can pull it. Not wanting to suggest distractions (the main goal being to release the remake with all of the original content) I'd mention I missed the opportunity to make Elly your lover. She could easily be steered into 3 different routes, 2 of which I would enjoy: love, sharing and NTR. Love would open up once love stat hits a threshold; sharing would be available as an option if her corruption is above a threshold and would include content of her love route, plus possibly content of the ntr route, but you discuss her slutty adventures at breakfast and Elly's only true love is YOU; ntr is basically what there is already, without your choice and her loving you most, and would be unavoidable if she has high corruption but low love. TBH the current content isn't particularly strong ntr, as you can't be in a relationship with her, but she does hint at getting soft on you, there's the scene where she cares for you after you get kicked in the balls, plus swimming in the lake and that does lend her content with Johnny and Randy a feeling that you may be losing your chance (which never comes). I'll leave it for others to think if it's worth creating a proper NTR route when she's actually your lover, provided you guys add that possibility.

Would be great, Elly's definitely my favourite character in the prologue and, in case it wasn't obvious, I prefer sharing than NTR, but think that both can be present as optional content.

for me , i dont wanna hear or read news anymore its time to act not hype
We have been very careful not to hype too much. While we have mentioned 3 dates in the past and missed them all, that is down to this being a HUGE project to take on, plus the issues I mentioned in my last post here, plus most of us have not worked on any games before.
We know it is a long time to wait. This isn't just a fap-fest KN/VN and we HAVE to make sure the many, many pathways work (like potentially getting an MC-Elly sexual relationship created, as reidanota mentions above) or we will have failed the 300 or so patient folks that have joined us on Discord/Patreon/SubStar.
We hear and understand your frustration loud and clear, I hope you understand our frustration at not being able to release it yet.

Possibly goblins, definitely orcs (in addition to the orcs in the original game). There will be an assortment of other well known fantasy creatures too.
I would add that folk who are interested in seeing specific sorts of content should probably become supporters of the game; while the game has it's own story arcs and long-term goals, the input from our game supporters always tends to get noticed a bit more.
