Yeah, it's the speed that holds it back really.
Don't get me wrong, i've got no problem at all waiting for quality but with the fantastic start to this and the massive amounts of potential there it could be huge.
The main thing will be options for me. I'm not a huge corruption fan going by the absolutely abysmal standards set by some games i've seen on here.
While it's almost certain Carmen is going to corrupt someone, she's too good a character not to, I would like at least the option to have Crowe and Roman ... or all 3 ... in a somewhat romantic ending rather than turn Crowe into a cock guzzling cum dump which i've seen happen in far too many games.
I can't see it going that far, the writing so far has been too good for that but it's always a worry.
I think the problem I have here is there are no shit characters so it's kinda hard for me to want to see a bad outcome for any of them. Usually you have one or two you don't like and don't mind what happens to them. We haven't seen much of the other guy in the team so maybe he's unlikeable but i'm doubting it. I know we haven't seen a great deal of Glasha but we do know her and Roman have worked together for a long time so i'd hate to see them turn on each other.
Or I could wind my neck in and stop overthinking things and just let the devs do their job.... Think that might be the safer bet.

I'm a little biased on whether it's worth pledging or not, but I can explain how we number our build versions:
x.y.z
where x is the number of days you can play through within the game (with a total of 3 days currently planned), y is the number of additional scenes we've added since first releasing the current day of the build, and z is aesthetic or narrative changes, bug fixes and so on.
so 1.5.1 and 1.1.0 both take you to the end of day 1. The key difference is that 1.5.1 contains 4 more standalone scenes you can play than 1.1.0, which is almost double the amount of pornographic content. If I remember right 1.1.0 is about 50 nsfw images (with two animations), and 1.5.1 is closer to 85.
2.0.0 has 102 gallery items last time I checked and will be released to $10 patrons soon.
Sanguine Rose is sort of a deconstruction of a corruption game. Or a reconstruction. It's something. We wanted to make a premise and setup that wasn't pornographic or sexual or corrupting in itself, but because of the antagonist it becomes that way. The corrupting influence is Carmen, and Roman is the one being corrupted (as well as Crow and possibly the others in your group). The conflict kind of comes from putting the Player in charge of Roman. The player, by virtue of playing a porn game, wants Roman to get laid, and the easiest way to do that is to fall for Carmen's tricks. Let her corrupt Roman, and Crow. But by taking most of the corrupting agency away from the Player, it opens up romantic possibilities, and lets characters have their own desires - sexual or otherwise - that can play off of Roman.

If Roman had the patience of a Buddhist monk and several years on his hands, maybe, but its a porn game and the player has 3 days. I can't think of any arguments Roman could make in that time to shake Carmen from her beliefs or her manipulations - although I'm always open to hearing suggestions.
If it's only three days then major shift wouldn't work, I guess. I suppose she's not romantic type to fall for someone. Not that I mind, but she's damm cute, but too bad a slut.
