So people are mad because this turned into a VN? man this is fucking great, the combat system was stupid as fuck, grinding hours just to get a simple sex scenes, I think the dev knows what he is doing, the community is just stupid as fuck, I understand the sentiment of wanting gameplay but the game had just boring grinding battles, I think the change to be episodic VN will be great.

maybe rebalancing one things or two... but what peoples are mad about is because now 80% of the content is missing.
if you dislike rpg games great, good for you, but im sure that almost everyone liked the exploration of the game and wanted to see more of this world with freedom, thing that now we dont have because we dont have exploration just chapters with words.

I don't doubt we'll see all the content from previous version revisited in time, just presented and executed in a different way that much of the old audience dislikes, the fact that the beginning of the game hasn't really changed much with each major revision is a testament to this. Unfortunately it's months, almost two years, of work just mostly thrown out combined with completely different narrative and design focus that's really polarizing (and personally I am just not a fan of current direction.) If Vel just calmly stated in one line: "yeah, sorry I wasn't feeling the old system and wanted to try something new" then you wouldn't really have such a strong negative reaction from people, if anything more people would be accepting of changes or quietly moved on with minimal shitposting.
Or alternatively just wrapped up the previous "legacy" version with an actual ending (at the town legacy ends in) and started this as an actual new project; you'd have practically no outcry. You could simply chalk it up as "Tale of Saria" series with each game being a fun, short, experimental journey.

That's the thing.. there are literally 1000's of them and the first thing you do is "enable skip unread text" or hit ctrl to go to the next CG or choice (if there is even one) and now there was a rather good game what got turned into another std. production line VN. It just sucks.

@ clowns in this thread berating the dev, you r*****s need to stfu. its literally a FREE game. I know for a FACT if you were actual patreon supporters or paying players you wouldn't be complaining on a god damn adult game PIRATE website. I do not understand why yall are acting so entitled when uv given the dev nothing in return.

My guy, have you not considered that a healthy number of the people here do/did support him and are simply here for lack of reasonable alternatives? People who have withdrawn support obviously won't be posting on Patreon posts (and a good number of those comments are indeed negative), and from what I can see the dev is likely banning a shitload of people on Discord who simply disagree with him. So that leaves here, the platform formerly known as Twitter (weird place to be doing that though), the itchio page which I'm pretty sure he can delete comments from, and the Discord people are getting purged from for wrongthink.

That is, unless you're suggesting that all of the previous and current supporters with grievances are somewhere else, like maybe 4chan or something.

I loved the first versions in the style of Karryn prison, then I was not convinced with the card system but when I understood it I enjoyed it a lot, but something that I really always loved was exploration, my favorite maps were the abandoned ship and the hive, now I see that the change has been the most drastic to date to the point of no longer being a game and becoming a VN, goodbye exploration but I am going to try to be positive now that everything is simpler I suppose that the development is going to be faster, so I will continue to pay attention to each update especially because I love Saria, there are not many protagonists like her.

That's not even a VN. In a VN, there is meaningfull choices that let you experience the story in different ways depending on them.
Here you're just stuck on the same stage till u defeat the oponent. It's like level one, basic of an ero-card game...

And u know how it will end? Nobody will play the game but one guy. This guy will finish the game once and share his save with everyobody here, so we can all see each scene once, and then delete the game forever.

Honestly 0.16 feels like a cheap and shitty spinoff rather than an actual game. It's dumbed down in every way possible and 90% of the content of the previous version is missing. Ppl won't complain if it was released as a side project while main game was still getting updated. But waiting 4 months to get this... It's ridiculous.

Damn...I haven't checked on this thread in some time. Not since the battle update where the dev switched to using cards over the tradition RPG style. It hurts to see the game's development devolve into such a messy state. It's also very saddening to see the dev lashing out at everyone who has anything even remotely negative to say about the state of the game so far.
