Oh yeah, "Hentai Reclaimed", it's my favorite switch e-shop game.
Wait! Do you have the preview update for .23? I heard the developer was getting hand cramps and switched it to destroying 9 large bricks but in Pong style.

This thread is getting better and better every day! I guess, just for the giggles, Saria Reclaimed is not totally uselessBoth the people who enjoy the game, and also those who don't, are entertained. That's incredible!
Alright. After reading all the recent comments, knowing the shitstorm this game has become but I still want to try out. So I want to ask: which version now is the best to play? Definitely not the VN of course

There's 2 versions that I recommend. the 0.15.2, with the previous card system, still a side-scroller with battlefuck, and the most complete version.
I personally prefers the v0.13.1, before the card system. You can find the Mega link in a comment on top of this very page.
As SH6 said the version 15 is more complete and up-to-date, while version 13 plays better but has overall less content.

This is the first time I've played this game and I'd like to give my thoughts.
I loved the art in this game and it's some of the best I've seen in a visual novel. While I enjoy card games the system in this one is pretty... rough. Having enemies and the mc act at random times makes it difficult to strategize especially when enemies have one hit kill attacks like The Tickler. I'd also suggest making the stances of cards clearer to the player maybe even having an icon somewhere to show stance effectiveness. Personally it really feels like the game is trying to implement Grandia's combat system but in card form.
There really needs to be a better introduction/tutorial to help explain the various systems of the game. The whole sequence of how/why Saria left her squad could be used as the tutorial of the stances, status effects, what mood is and the whole fetish system.
The world map is also very bland and unsightly at the moment. I'd recommend that instead of having a drop down menu for the chapters there should be an artful depiction of the current region and have a trail to depict her progress through the acts. The ui could also use some work.
And there really needs to be meaningful choices while you're playing the game. To me that's one of the most important aspects of a story driven visual novel/rpg.

I heard he's adding gambling soon like slot machines to unlock new skins and new sex positions but you can purchase them if you like since he's adding microtransactions too but i did hear a rumor he won't be greedy and you can unlock everything via gems with a gacha system and new lewd deck skins to spice it up and an announcer pack and even got Glados from Portal too so we'll be constantly humiliated while our other hand is busy.

He signed a partnership with Wizards of the Coast, and will release his combat cards in booster packs.
The fact is that Saria, being already a strong woman of color comfortable with her sexuality, WotC will improve their ESG score, and Velminth will swim in cash.
That is assuming Velminth isn't ousted for being [insert brain dead term(s) here] and his character/ideas taken to be milked harder than a dairy farm by WotC.

To think a game could receive so many reviews (all negative) to make me unwatch a thread. And apparently the dev is still being stubborn about it? Some people are just a little too sure of themselves I guess.
The thing is that... The game was going pretty well ever since it was released, the art was on par to Karryn's Prison (the current real 8/10 or 9/10 best current H-game created, despite people hating on it or rambling because they wanted more content to be added), it was receiving updates, and everyone who played it was happy, eager for more of the game, it had stances that anyone could get behind of, a simple battle-system, the art deparment was perfect, the only compliants would be wanting more art, and more voicelines from the Voice Actress...
The problems for the people here began when Velminth (the dev), began to add more to the gameplay department, trying a skill tree, last year update was in august, up until end of 2023 (Almost 5 months had passed since the last update) a lot of people was hyped up, since everything looked very promising and now... A Visual Novel style with card battle system...
I myself am not against the idea of this, if it's what the dev wants to go for, he can do as he pleases, besides I'm not paying for the game, and most of the people here neither are, the issue was that the amount of content was completely gutted over, and restarting, for a lot of people that is a no no (I myself think that probably, very likely, the following updates will have more content and re used content put in that suits more the vision of the game he's pursuing, since while it was 0.15 version of the game, it had decent enough art and I doubt the dev would have just burnt it all down to restart everything)...
Now, the way that people is complaining over it, while I understand it bothers them, it surprises me a lot, since hell, it's a porn game, and while very promising, almost everyone that is here is playing it for free...
So after play through 0.13 and 0.15 like everyone here recommend, and then try a little bit on 0.16, yeah no wonder why people are mad. Like seriously, WTF is this? From the UI to the gameplay, IT'S ALL A BROKEN MESS. you have like 2 DIFFERENT MENU for the same fking thing. I don't care if you turn your game into a VN card game for some reasons you so proud of, ether using the right engine for it or do it like Lost Chapter or don't fking do it at all
I wonder if he'll port everything to Ren'Py at some point for even less progress.
