Tear jerking story camouflaged in a gory atmosphere. And it's not that gory anyways, dont take my word for it but you should not miss this story!
Whenever I try to use the backlog, this error seems to pop up and the game crashes. Anyone know how to fix?

Just started this one. I love the atmosphere and mystery, even the gore looks kinda pretty but I don't trust Saya as far as a I can throw her. It wouldn't surprise me if she was some Lovecraftian monster that caused all this.

As far as I know she didn't cause insanity of the protagonist. Also, she is the best girl who accepts you and loves you back, don't bully. Finally, I can feel like a Stephen King fan while recommending this to all my friends saying "No dude it's super good! The horror is great, you just have to look past the loli porn!"
well fuck, downloaded the remastered workload file and this is what came up when i tried to play it.
so now wtf do i do lol

Judging by the nonsense characters, I'd wager that you need to play on Japanese locale, or at least on a Japanese locale emulator.
i dug around in the game files and found the ENGLISH launcher, game seems to be working correctly with that sound and all. thanks for trying to help =)
man finally finished the 3 endings i could find, fucking hell was this some good shit. twisted as all hell but still a good read for me. favorite ending was probably the 2nd followed by the 3rd with the 1st being last

Im waaaaaaay late to the party, but what are the differences between versions? What version should i play as a first timer in this legendary game?
Next to none really, just play the remastered, is an adapted version for newer systems, basically is a a remade to be up to todays standards and compatibility. I just finished it and the writing was absolutely gripping. Really not a horror lover but this left me to edge of my chair wanting to know what else will happen after pressing enter

I've read the original and checked out a let's play of someone playing the remastered version, from what I've seen they added a couple of extra CGs. Those blue choice prompts also have a different texture.
