It might make more sense from a gameplay perspective to continue after the neutral route, but if the sequel starts with them being a proper couple after Ryouka confessed in the true love ending, then the corruption in the sequel would be better in my opinion, because it goes from MC being platonic friendship to now an actual couple.

This game is leagues ahead in the NTR realm, and has in fact spawned loads of cheap copies trying to do the same thing.
The 1st one was great, I have no doubt the sequel is going to be fantastic.

From playing the demo of After, there's a LOT more dialogue and more interaction in general with Kouta and Ryoka. Like going on multiple romantic dates even. So they might not have 'confessed' yet but it's most certainly going to be more hard hitting NTR this time.

Since some of you don't follow him on Twitter/don't have an account: he's said that the ci-en post has a pool/survey asking if people have an optical drive unit. Said survey was also conducted on Twitter and there he talks a little about a physical release of some sort. He doesn't specify if it's for SS After Story or any of his other works but your gess is as good as mine. Still, a possible indication that the game might be close to being done.
The pool so far goes like this:
38% do have an optical drive.
49% don't.
5% I think means will only keep it a little longer.
8% don't have a PC at all.
