What prevents them from posting the game on Google Play without 18+ content? Actually, anyone who wants to download it will be able to switch to the same patron and download the full version of the game.
It's the same with steam, only there are patches. Besides, now Steam quietly allow 18+ content games without them. The latest news is talking about it.

The game will be distributed without the Internet for free versions. In the release version of the game there will be no requirement to internet in the game, it will only go during its development.

They're either utterly clueless that Google Play would never allow this game or blatantly lying to bait more donations. Agree on the Steam part too. You almost have to design your game to avoid the sexual content.... which then this game becomes completely inferior to HHS+... which is freely available and has been for years. I'm thinking I need to scrutinize the changelog more, but it feels like there hasn't been a lot of progress the past few months in terms of new content. Feels completely identical to the version I tried half a year ago.

The same thing that prevents them from posting to Steam without 18+ content being done at a school, they can't remove it without taking out a huge part of the game, leaving barely any content behind with the way the game is now. Steam might allow it if they can separate the school based 18+ content into a ptach, as with basically all 18+ Steam games involving a school, but Google has yet to allow even one 18+ game of any kind.

Steam SAID they allowed 18+ games without patches, but the last three games released to Steam by the Japanese developer Illusion tell a different story. The first of the three, Koikatsu (through Koikatsu Party), had to have its story removed entirely because of its school setting, the second game, AI Shoujo, had to have its story removed entirely AND had to have genitals removed from the models, and the third game, Honey Select 2, got the same treatment as AI Shoujo except it never had a story. This game, due to its story involving being a student at a school and having sex with students at the school, would need to have its entire story removed as well as any school uniform for Steam to accept it, that is A LOT of content to remove from this game and that still doesn't guarantee Steam will accept it.

The need for internet with AAA games is something that already puts gamers on edge (looking at you Destiny, which requires Xbox Live to play at all on console and became a paperweight because I don't have Xbox Live, Microsoft's console online gaming service). Then there is the fact that this game just isn't at a point where a move like this is a good idea. They are potentially looking at half or more of their players leaving over that one thing (there are A LOT of gamers out there who draw the line at needing internet for game functions that should be built in).

Given the developers history so far, I'm going to go with clueless, though to be fair, not everyone who isn't an established Android developer knows Google hates 18+ games with a passion (I only even know because I had been doing research on this issue a few years ago due to the complete lack of 18+ content on the Play store, which I found curious).

I'm going to be blunt, the way the game is now, HHS+ does beat it solidly. That can change, especially since HHS+ just went through a loss of story developers when their original website went down a couple months ago, but it will take time. The reason is as you say, HHS+ is free and not only is the game free, but the, completely necessary at current stage, developer tools don't require internet access whereas Sloths Command is now blocking their, completely necessary at current stage, developer tools with internet access.

It is not completely identical to the content from half a year ago, but you are correct in that it has not made significant progress in its story, literally one story element was added in the latest version, but that is only IF you can get around the wall of error screens the game throws at you in this latest version just for having sex with random NPCs (yet another sign the game is not ready for an anti-piracy move like this, which limits the number of eyes that can spot bugs like this, not that anyone who isn't blind couldn't see the 0930a bugzilla from several kilometers away).

tl;dr I agree with what you said. These retards are going to lose people putting in antipiracy measures pretending theyre a AAA dev with a high quality product while their current build is totally unplayable. HHS+ and the people in its community alone gives me a lot of optimism they'll recover and the quality gap will only widen.

And then there's what happens if you try to "ignore" the errors. It boots you out of your save entirely to the main menu and any progress you made just before the error, like potentially hundreds of relationship points, is lost as you have to reload your save (this is the single most game breaking issue I have ever encountered in Renpy, it is that serious, and they tell us piracy measures are the big concern). Yeah, no, this game is FAR from the point where piracy should be any level of concern that takes priority over actual gameplay issues.

I wasn't going to go there, but you are right, this is an EA move, EA being the single worst game developer on the planet for game development ethics. Sloths Command has just made themselves the EA of the porn game developers. I was considering at least trying to help them out with the English to make it readable for English speaking players and throwing a little money their way, but no, they lost me entirely on that, the best they can get out of me now is playing from randomly found "offline" versions with randomly found patron codes or whatever it takes to get the developer tools from places I will not name so they cannot target those places to remove the version I play (I refuse to support EA over stuff like this, I'm sure as hell not going to support Sloths Command doing the same thing as EA).

Legit they can take comfort that I won't be playing their game.... at all. Why bother if its utterly unplayable because they're sperging out over maybe a few people not chucking $5 on their patreon? They're deluding themselves thinking anyone pirating it would pay for this totally pozzed build when the free builds are out there. Its playable for 15-30 mins tops before you get the error screens, and then have to spam click to try again, or rollback and hope you dont get fucked.

Instead it'll go largely unfixed for a month maybe? Yet still have it happen (like at least the rate of v0.926, the other build I had) because they're paranoid over it. This is just going to cause some of their current subs to bail, especially if it means delays in fixing these Earth Defense Force sized bugs. You shouldn't feel paranoid to be dropping another save constantly like that because the RNG didnt fuck you (though I save scummed like a bitch, idgaf).

Now? Fuck it man, I legit played an old 90s RTS after I got done with work, Koikatsu Sunshine a bit, and then booted up HHS+ for the first time in a month. Theres plenty of other H-games out there than overly stressing about this game in the end.

15-30 minutes? I didn't even get through 2 minutes, though, to be fair, I did make the entire class want to be mine from the start so as to avoid the new 'NPCs can now have sex with each other as long as it wouldn't be considered cheating on you' addition they added to 0930. Within 2 minutes, I was asked for sex and the instant I chose a position I got the errors. Then there is also still the error in buying clothes, which sends you back to the main menu if you hit ignore. Between 0929 and 0930, they may have attempted bug fixes, but those attempts have failed (it can happen, the fact that any bug fix failed is not their fault), so to focus on what is currently not even an issue because no pirate would waste their time with the current builds shows that Sloths Command does not actually care about their game, they only care about the money, and that is not the kind of mindset a developer should have, it leads to inferior production.

If this game had a human English translation (I WAS planning to offer help with this, but I don't help developers who don't care about their game), about double the content, and 100% of its art was original, I could see paying. As it is now, not only is it not worth paying for, but I don't feel safe paying for it because I never know when someone is going to come after the game for any art that isn't original and shut it down completely, at which point my limited money will have been wasted. I feel the same about HHS+, but that game is entirely free, which is how they would avoid trouble for the art.

In fact, Sloths Command is on Patreon, I could very easily see them getting shut down on there with how Patreon is over multiple aspects, one of which is a blatant Patreon ToS violation. The art not being original could pose a threat there, Patreon very much hates any game that can potentially have its characters be minors, such as with school settings, and having the ability to rape or blackmail girls (Tsukasa can be blackmailed and the random NPCs can be raped or coerced if they feel negatively about you) is a blatant violation of the Patreon ToS. They may not even get a warning with how many violations they could be facing, Patreon may just terminate their page outright.

If i understand this correctly, after adding the patch01.rpy to game folder or adding the lines manually to console, you dont need to enter ytlmoe in pateron code box? As Its already "bestfriend", when you do all above?

If I try to use the application form for the Occult Club in front of the school I get this error:

If you are interested in joining the occult club, you can do it through the student council. Just go there and complete their tasks.

This can also be fixed using the console and array error correction.
