It has to do with options. Don't make the brutal content mandatory, drop in some choices to see/do those scenes. Maybe add context to them or delay them so it isn't so immediate.
Keep the brutal... not enough games go that far.

Also make a branch at the start for wholesome people and change have the dialogue depend on it even if the story is the same. DO WHAT YOU WANT.

There really is no need to change anything, maybe offer a "nice" path for all those people who are less into the darker stuff. There are enough people who would like that for a change, and the crowd here is not necessarily the one you need to listen to.
You had an idea when you started this right, so go on, explore it, I'm sure you will find an audience.
