If you want to change the name of the main character - open the console (Shift + O) and type this:
$ pm="your name"

depends on which patch you mean exactly.It exists 2.One frome 5000fivethousand and my patch.Mine should work.The patch from 5000fivethousand had the problem with the sentence
go to the subfolder game.There should be a folder called save.Out the file inside this folder
I'm currently using a Mac - but downloaded the windows file and am using the renpy app
