Didn't even play for 10 minutes and already found the biggest possible plot hole. Why doesn't the MC just leave? It was fairly easy to get MC's dad to agree to let him go, so once he's there why doesn't he immediately ghost his dad and just stay with the rest of the family. He's an adult, nothing stopping him. So unless there's another reason way down the line, this game has already failed
...........

Then, play the game more than 10 minutes before trashing it maybe?

Your supposed "plot hole" is explained in details and multiple times through the story.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

FFR, a plot hole isn't just something you don't understand at the time you read it. It's one of two things:
  1. A gap or inconsistency in a story that goes contrary to the flow of logic already set up by story's plot.
  2. A clear omission of applicable details tied directly to the plot.
What you describe is neither of those. Not enough of the plot has been set out for that scene to run contrary to it. The flow of logic is that the MC is in a bad situation, caught between wanting to develop games for a living and spending time with everyone except his father. Not seeing a solution to this problem yet or ruling out possible actions he might take doesn't do anything to break logic of the story at that point.

There also is no omission of relevant information germane to the story yet. We're literally being told everything the MC could possibly know by reading his thoughts as well as conversations he has. Maybe in the future you could look up a term before trying to use it. Just a suggestion.

Play the rest and you'll find out.

Of course there is a reason.

With how old the game is, do you not think we'd all have pointed out that if it was a plot hole?

You just started the game and then jumped to a conclusion about the rest of the plot..........

I feel you. Tried lately this VN here:

And already at the beginning there is that BIG plot hole: Why doesn't she buy the food in the supermarket? It was fairly easy to get it there instead stupidly searching in an unknown wood. She's a human after all. Also why does that grey thing speak? How can it do that? I had to stop reading, for me this VN completely failed...

Didn't like Sun Breed even though I love vampire shit so I've put this one off for a long time. Great game with a lovely story ^^ Gonna have to check out the other games the dev made.

Played this a second time and it's still great.
Just wished there were more sex scenes instead of them just talking about it.
If I don't see it...it never happened, lol.

Is the sequel to this game dead? I just recently started playing it and actually think it's kind of cool. Pretty lame though if there's no satisfactory ending which means I'm not going to continue playing it.

What do you mean dead game? The game isn't dead, it's completed.

And no, no sequel on this completed game.

SuperWriter did think about doing sequels to Secret Summer and Picture Perfect, but because of the incest he was setting up a Subscribestar. Not many people joined SS, certainly not enough to make the sequels, so iirc, they are not canceled, but on hold indefinitely as long as his main source of income is Patreon.

They both have current (multiple) endings without the need of a sequel.

Okay cool. Thanks! Some of the comments made it sound like it was incomplete. Glad to hear this was finished. Thank you for the recommended game list by the way! I have played some of those but got some new ones to try out now. :D
