This ending was very disappointing and rushed. Felt like they gave up because they either got bored with it or just didn't want to continue making the game. A forced endgame route with what is basically an obligatory end added as an epilogue.
I always delete polls, otherwise I'd have 100 lol. The polls are to let me know what you guys are thinking and I see that a lot of people did like the animation, but many thought it was just 'okay' too.
And I pretty much agree. If I'm going to pay for animations going forward, I want them to be very good or great, not just average. I don't want to add them just to add them. I want them to make the games BETTER. So, I'm still searching for a capable animator, which is not easy at all.
And if I still can't find one in the future, I'll think about taking a little time off to learn myself, though I have no idea whether I will be good at it or not. We'll see.
For now, I'm just going to keep working hard on my current games, and keep the animation in mind.

Just finished the game, and while I loved it and really enjoyed it, I have to say the ending felt super sudden and rushed. I just feels like there was going to be more, and then the dev just decided to call it there because they didn't want to work on it anymore

Unfortunately, doing these types of games are risky if you depend on them to make a living like I do. There will always be an attack on adult content creators, like Onlyfans suddenly banning porn, though they reversed that at the last moment.SuperWriter Most of us started your games because of your writing and taboo fetish.

We have got superhero family right there, so don't exclude the particular fetish and that too if family is hot..there will be riots
And please don't go NLT on us.
NLT also got hooked us on his taboo games and then suddenly dropping that thing because of patreon, which he could have avoided.
Or Tumblr banning porn, and of course Patreon banning anything taboo. It is just much safer and a lot less stressful to leave that out for the superhero game because it's going to be my only game after I finish the current ones, and I want to minimize the risk to it.
I hope you understand.

Hi I have just discovered this game and played through it and wondered if the game is finished? The story just kinda ended with no epilogue...IS more being made or what?
EDIT: oops, completely missed the Epilogue bit on the front page...I do hope the sequel isnt too far away, whilst I did wish this game had animations I really did enjoy the story and characters and want to see more of them

Did you play the Epilogue after you finished the game? I think there is a standalone Epilogue only in the OP. I don't remember exactly but there seems to be installer for the base game, epilogue and base game + epilogue. There is also a mod (with Epilogue included) for the base game.
The reason the Epilogue can't be directly added to the base game is because of Steam restriction or something like that.
As per the game, the developer SuperWriter did mentioned he wants to continue with this game and the Complete tag is not really complete but rather end of Season 1, Book 1 or something like that. That's what I recalled. You can search his post (not that far back). But I think currently he is working on his other game.

Yeah I found the epilogue. Nice ending, and by sheer coincidence I didn't realise until the splash screen that I started Picture Perfect straight after.
I do want to know if the later games by this dev have animations? Its not a deal breaker but I do want to know

Aah yeah, I see, I suppose other AVNs have spoiled me a bit, but as I said above, the stories and characters are good so I will play the others even if they don't have animations

Assuming you do find a solution would you consider going back and adding to your earlier games? Or even remaking them?
I don't think there's any need to go back and remake any of my stories or games. But I AM in the process of learning how to animate myself for my next big game, along with a few other things.
So, it's a possibility I may go back and add animations to my older games, but my games should have them going forward. I just want to make sure they are good.

I'm not sure if you're planning on getting back to secret summer. But if you were would you pick up the story again from before the epilogue?
I loved what you had written, and so took the sudden ending fairly badly since I was looking forward to seeing further relationship development. Ironically most the material I was hoping to see was in the gap between the end of the game and the epilogue.
I won't be getting to Secret Summer any time soon. My next game after the current ones is going to be my sole focus for the next 2-4 years. I want to see what I'm capable of putting all my into one project.
But for SS, everyone is still pretty much in the same place after the epilogue. You and Coral still want to eventually to start up your own company as you work for the IM devs now. Irene had the baby, and you still have a future together. Norah opened her shop. Leanne got into dancing school like she wanted, and Zoe Is still working on her blog.
A sequel would just continue these storylines. Secret Summer part 1 was all about getting to their goals and now they have to maintain those goals. No need to repeat the story. Have to look towards bigger and better things now. Don't worry, I'd make something that makes sense.

I think my only compunction is that Norah went from her very first sex scene to having a kid in the epilogue. I think there was room for story between those two events, and that was the story I was hoping to follow.
But ultimately it's your story to tell. Thanks for responding.
Ah, okay. That's something that I can see your point on. I'll most likely reverse that, so that you don't jump from having sex once to having a baby, and you get to that point actually in-game and build your relationship more romantically and sexually before the baby. Thanks for speaking up about that.
