I just downloaded and haven't played yet so I'm not sure how right all the comments are, I can tell by the renders on the OPs that there is much room for improvement. But what concerns me is the seemingly despise in the comments for the genre. Why would those ppl come to this thread in the first place except to troll?

I'm going to be open-minded now and try the game, it may not be great but a lot of the new incest games that have come out lately I'd rather them be cookie cutters than wolves in sheep's clothing.

didn't read the genre, was so hoping i would be playing Patrick Jane, banging Lisbon and Grace.

Anyhow for those complaining about a 0.01 and a copy of BB, this dev can still make something great and developing progress is usually 1-2 years so lets see then. Also if he completes this, it's 100% better then BB if he ends the project and starts on a Glmarousous project it's 100% clone

Complaining about a game being 0.01 is just as silly as complain about a game beign 0.1. The version number is just what the creator pick for themselves. There is no format set in stone. I wouldn't really call it a copy of BB, more than any other incest themed game where you live with a mom and 2 sisters. But some things such as a "male co-worker" of the mom, coming over to work with her.. give some associations to Eric from BB though.

Faerin's "Man of the House" is a clone of Big Brother to the point the dev admitted his vision of the game was grabbing Max from BB and Deedee from Dating my Daughter and using those two as the basis... And that game is far better than BB, smooth interface, repeatable events, more intuitive events, sexier females, and more of them, actual sex with the cast rather than "modded in", etc.

But I see your point, I just think people are being overly harsh with this guy... not everyone is Dr Pink that comes out of nowhere and makes a great game, and even his v0.1 was said to be lacking in content at first till he found his footing around ch3 and got major props for writing with ch4.

I mean this game could be far worse, it could be Bully, yet that game gets nothing but praise...

I liked Man of the house, and was excited for new updates for a while, but then more and more, characters get introduced, and it just turn into a giant harem clusterfuck. I kinda like smaller cast and stronger stories, where the MC doesn't come across like just a energizer bunny with a dildo strapped.

It sort of does. There is at least a couple text dialogues where Olivia is referred to as "mom", but lets just say its less than perfect for now

Man of the House only clones the two character models (Max and D), but the story, premise, setting, etc is vastly different than BB that you can't say the game is a clone.

The mother's boss coming to house, the older sister that has a girlfriend (that even has the same hairstyle as in BB), the breakfast and dinner sit-down, the helping doing dishes, the helping with homework, the comment about mom's lingerie, the pose of the older sister looking at the mirror, etc. It's just BAD because it's basically BB but worse everything.

We can't be "overly harsh" because there's really no saving this game without making a complete overhaul. The biggest worry is not that he copies the premise of BB, but that he copies the events too. It really showed that the dev didn't have confidence in his original content.

But Ways of Life also copied basically everything to the point it also used the exact models for Ann and Alice from BB, and then made the sin of restarting the game when it was at v0.7 to switch to a shit engine no one asked for, and that also plays bad... and someone called "that" a good clone...

Honestly, that is a 1.5-star rated game. It's not a good game. Someone might try to stretch that into a good clone, but I'd just disagree with that notion. It's an OK-ish clone that is a poor game.

of course, after tons of the same concept its starting to get old.
we all want something fresh and new, but how? if the dev has the MC as a fat dude or ugly or old, you start to complain.
if we add ntr, the same, this is what you get since most of you like "young dude in a harem situation".
its also impossible to demand a new dev to be better than experienced devs.
what we get is this kind of game, same old, mediocre renders, bullshit story.
but what could be different without getting flamed with complains?

Oh, my heart breaks for those poor devs who want us to pay for giving us the same shit everyone else does.

Constructive critics and hope for something better, or bury them neck down in shit and see them create nothing more again? Want us to pay, and we actually doing it? Now that is two different things. There is many games that deserve "some" support but never get any because download is "free". If this game did "shape" up further down the road, I wouldn't mind tip the jar, but as it stand now, no. That have to be earned.

It's very hard imho to find new games these days with a fresh story and using unique models etc. There is those that tried to make something different and get shoot down for it. So that some creators just re-hash and regurgitate the same old, because that seems to please the masses isn't that odd. Doesn't make it any more right though.

Remember, every creator out there started out as a untalented hack. If they listen to critics and use it as a growing experience, the better for us as consumers of said games right? If they doesn't they just create their own ruin anyways.

About the bad English. Well, not everyone got English as their primary/native language or even secondary if they even have one. Some use machine translated, or just try their best and still end up horrible. Or you could just play the game in Russian or whatever else language and use a dictionary to try understand it? I never really fault someone for terrible English, because it is what it is.
