Not sure how I feel about this game. On the one hand, I love that there are M/M scenes (Andras is super hot) but on the other I'm not into the whole bdsm thing and I find everything inbetween the scenes boring & tedious.

The gameplay part of SoC is being slowly worked on to make it as interesting as possible, but during the amount of work that it takes to redo some of the systems already in place, it will likely be a while before you guys see the results of it.

Futa Alexia is one of my least favorite type of scenes. This game already has some nice futas, although I prefer them to have balls. Cock and no balls just looks weird to me, and where does the splooge come from? Anyway, I really don't see the point of Alexia growing a dick. I prefer her to be on the receiving end.

This game is pretty interesting in that you have a legitimately good team working on something, and choose to diversify their kinks / genre / theme instead of focusing. Now, many Patreon games do this kind of deal to attract greater audiences via routes. However nobody does this kind of "spread" like this game. Also first time seeing gay being a theme, which is interesting, but not for me to jerk off to.
Clearly the dev team on this game has the expertise to code, draw, and write. Probably some of the best in the industry. However, spreading yourself too thin has the potential to alienate fan bases. For example, some people don't like NTR. They see NTR and they rage. You even had to put a feature on here to warn people off (lol). But what is to say that some fans don't like "gay" or "futa" just like NTR?
Here you run into a problem where you appease the NTR haters, but trigger all the Gay haters and Futa haters, etc. I strongly believe that the game would've been better off if you made it more siloed and keep the branching to 2-3 kinks / themes. But it seems like there's a lot more in the game and it kinda dilutes the experience. The end product COULD be great, but you're now creating 5 games instead of 1.

2. The game's purpose is to be an erotic epic. Most games last lack SoC's scale. There is going to be many hundreds of fully realized scenes in the game. Not only are we going to blow past games with smaller content pools and this require more variety. But, the sheer breadth of sexual content expands the scale.
3. A game with a large content variety is a reflection of both the will of the creators and the varied tastes of the creative team. We LIKE making a game like this. The desires of fans matter, but so does the creative vision of the creators. It's a conversation.
4. There was demand for varied content. Once it existed people started getting annoyed. But if we stuck to one, we'd be narrowing our audiences. Serving a larger audience with more content is a legitimate choice over a smaller audience.
5. Finally I take issue with the idea that fetish diffirention makes something akin to numerous games. Seeds of Chaos has a unified thematic sense, has segments that tie in together, and a unified gameplay experience. We could have every fetish yet invented and two that only Alan Moore is into and we'd still be making one unified game, because a fetish alone does not make a game.

If people are opposed to seeing Draith x Rowan or Andras x Rowan or Rowan x Dwarf-dude on the grounds of 'Homosexuality', yet have absolutely no problem with seeing Jezera x Whore-lady... they will only earn my laughter.

Basically my thoughts as well. Want to know what I never hear jack shit about? The F/F content. No one ever says that SoC is diluting its focus with F/F content. That we should cut it so that way we can hyper focus on 1 or 2 fetishes. One does have to wonder why making one M/M scene every two months is somehow a dilution of focus while one or two F/F scenes per period is fine and normal?

Well of course, NTR is a very divisive topic. There are few more divisive (i.e. guro and scat)
This kind of worries me. As it is right now, going by the guide on the website, there are 75 scenes. Out of them, a solid third don't have cgs and I'd say half of them have only a chunk of cgs availiable. The game has been in development for around two years I think. You add about 4 each monthly update, with six cgs (each scene usually requiring multiple cgs).
If I understand it right, what we've seen so far is only a fifth of the game, as there will be new areas with roughly the same amount of content, and castle events will be added to as well with rivals and such. So, if you continue down this road, and aim for this amount of content, the game (presented as the "first scenario" on the patreon page) will take another eight years to finish. If by hundreds of scenes you mean 200 it will still take from 3 to 4 years to do with current workload.
While I understand that with the budget increasing you can increase the output, we are still very far away from the story's conclusion.
I also wouldn't say that even with this progression it would be the most content-rich game on the market, considering that Taimanin Asag Battle Arena is nearing at thousand scenes, around five of which are added each update.
I'm sorry if it seems like I'm ripping on you. I do consider SoC to be likely the best porn game on the western market and feel like the patreon has been really stable and transparent, but I can't help but fear that with all this desire to be the biggest and most widespread the game will sink under its own weight.
