By the time it gets finished, i'll be so old i don't even have a dick anymore.
If we look in to Patreon last status update

There is this vague road map and before this post i was hoping the Act 1 will be finished at the end of Summer but judging by the to do list it looks like optimistically it will be end of the year wich is not guaranteed.

I kind of feel like it pointless and useless complaining .... actually lamenting is the right word here.
Yeh lamenting. Game is too far in the development to make any major changes even if someone will be willing to change.
But i feel like ill say what i say.

1) I don't really think, making all this RPG elements was such a good idea considering how much effort, time and resources it takes to make.
I mean, i like Baldurs Gate and RPGs but considering limited resources its just way to much work.

So speaking about managing limited resources.
If we look at Steam page there are more negative reviews now and aside of few weirdos, who come to obvious Ntr game and was unhappy its Ntr game. All other negative reviews are people unhappy that game plot not moving forward and unfrequented updates.

Yes if you follow game development closely you actually see that game progressing steadily but for majority of people even patrons they want main plot progress and not minor tweaks, side stories polishing and programming updates.

2) Too many side stories. I was thinking, how little i care for example about Skordred and his story line and a few other's that just not engaging. But more importantly if it takes full bloody year to actually wrap all the side stories in Act 1 this mean its way too many of them for team to manage.

3) Another thing is there was this complain that some less refine games get more support then Seeds of Chaos. Like corruption of champions. Well all most all of them provides a lot of kinks. wich scratch that itch and attracts Patreons to this kind of games. Seeds of chaos has a strong corruption/ntr/swinging line but there are major kinks its not even tuckling. there was this poll a year or so ago what more kinks people want and they were not added yet.

Its important to implement most demanded kinks like pregnancy/body change, i'm yet to see one nice Milf (Patricia not counted as one!) or nice chubby/T H I C C girl (also dark elf girl in act 2 plz), to attract more people with other tastes.

This. The whole goblin clan, the fae, Rowan's elfin assistant, the brothel manager, the tavern manager, there's a dragon girl, Heleyna, there's a chatty sorceress, a pregnant girl in the orc camp, there's 900 characters to remember in the Rastadel arc, the librarian, the librarian's assistant which leads to a whole new arc, apparently (why couldn't the librarian have occupied that role?) a fish-man in the breeding pits, etc etc. I am not saying I dislike these specific characters but it is too much. Prune the tree.

You are right about the devs being over-ambitious with the project. I'm also frustrated with how slow the overall progress is. But still, the game is great and delivers substantial amount of content with each update. Every 2 months we get a large amount of very high quality CGs and some new scenes. As a patron of this game for a long time, I'd be willing to pay each month just to get those new CGs. The very wide scope of the game (which is the chief factor that slows the development progress) at the same time makes it unique. Even if not every side story is super interesting, there are many great ones, e.g. both NTR paths (especially Jezera's), Shaya arc, Goblin arc, X'zaratl arc, Alexia x Mary romance, Greyhide arc etc. Even really minor side stories can be enjoyable, e.g. new Sil x Alexia events or Jak's appearances in the tavern. I don't think that the devs are spending too much time on side content and not focusing on the main story - the Rastedel arc has been worked on for extremely long time and people were complaining that they prefer to see more action with the NPCs instead. With Rastedel finished, we now have the main narrative of Arc I done and it's only desirable that the devs are now focusing on side characters and mechanics rework.

Do the various Alexa and Liurial scenes require that Alexa be staying in the same room as Rowan? Cause they just don't seem to be triggering when it SEEMS like I have all the prerequisites from the google docs page.

They are already here it makes no sense for all those characters to simply disapear into the thin air. Besides it is hardly a fact that those characters and all their stories are useless to the game, this is just your opinion and from the one you are quoting.

Hello folks! I'm pretty sure somewhere in the 1000's of comments somebody explained how not to die in this game. Thing is i've managed to figure out how not to die from the 1st mission/ capture castle/ capture Helanya. After a while @ week 50-60 the bastards kill me and can't seem to find out why. I'll take all the help i can get. Thx in advance.

Without spoiling a critical and complex story arc, you need to find the Orc Horde in the upper-left portion of the map near the second portal on the north side of the bridge. It looks like an orc village hex. You need to visit it and continue to revisit it over the course of many in-game weeks, and resolve the situation there however way you want. It's crucial that you do so and you need make time to do it! How you go about resolving the situation there will have massive repercussions and will have lasting effects to your game accordingly. It's an arc that the devs put a lot of effort into and it shows! Good luck and have fun! ;]

Nope. Reading comprehension is important. Read the last line of what I wrote. I like both the brothel and tavern manager a lot, for example. But what do they really add, vs. what trade offs do they require?

Gaslighting. I never said it is a fact that those stories and characters are useless to the game. Again, how much energy is being put into characters that don't truly matter vs time spent better in other places? This is not some epic fantasy series, like Sanderson, Jordan, or Martin write. It's a fucking porn game.

Again that is just your opinion, stop acting like it is a fact.

Again, gaslighting. I never acted like it is a fact. I am critiquing the energy spent on side characters vs the main thrust of the story. I have very major doubts - that I think are well founded - that the dragon girl, the chatty sorceress, the pregnant girl in the orc camp, (just to use a few examples that might not trigger your reflexive response of defending the devs) are going to mean anything in the end. So why are they there? This game can't decide whether it's an RNG fuck-fest or an epic fantasy porn game. It is brutally failing at the latter, in my opinion. And this is why I said what I said.

I tried to compare this game to TLS in an earlier post and someone told me that was not fair, as TLS is "not really a porn game" (It is a porn game). But this is the best comparison that I can come come up with of what this game is, I think, trying to be like. Fantasy setting with an epic feel, with choices that really matter, and a compelling story. If this is not what the devs want then please tell me, but if this is what they want it's not working. My critique is aimed at getting the game better. If it takes out side characters I like, that's fine by me.

I think there are some points you're struggling to express, and I know I am slightly biased, but let me help slightly.

Much of the topic here is genre. That is, what genre of story is Seeds of Chaos?

But, there's a deeper question too. What is a genre?

One theory of genre that I believe would help with your conception is this. The word genre is multi-faceted but largely is a synonym to "Mode of Engagement". A mode of engagement for a story is the mechanism by which a story connects with the audience on a primal level. Comedy engages by illiciting the reaction of humor. Action by illiciting excitement. Horror by illiciting fear or disquiet.

But, Mode of Engagement isn't quite enough to explain what a genre is. Because we all understand that genre implies a set of story telling conventions. There are expectations and structures that have built up around a specific genre of story.

So what I think you're picking up is that in some ways there are tensions that exist between the genres of "Erotica" and "Epic". The Erotica genre is often premised around either quick sexual encounters or else developed relationships ala dating sims. While the epic genre loves to spend it's time soaking in a world and the people who live in it.

So a challenge of making a story in both the Epic Genre and the Erotica Genre is that the common structures of the diffrent genres are not always in perfect sync with one another. It creates conflicting impulses in some cases. This is a narrative problem I don't think we've fully solved.

But, at the same time an effective combination of the genres offers benefits that other variants of erotica or epics lack individually. Erotica draws power to the erotic through the meaning of a story's context. Long form dramatic erotica stories can be hard to execute but also among the most rewarding material of the genre.

Seeds of Chaos aims to achieve this kind of genre fusion. I don't think we're doing it perfectly. But, I do like to think we're doing it in a way that is A. Interesting and B. Creates a Unique Expierience.

So no. We fully believe that adding to the world a tapestry of stories about how people are effected by the events of the story and the scale of the narrative is a worthwhile endevour and one that will ultimatly add to the sexual component of the story as well.
