So, basically, it only has the name of prostitution because once you conquer that place, the money comes on its own. You can't prostitute the heroines, and there's no animation or anything?
there is prostitution in the game story. Is not a game mechanic. The mc of the game series doesn't share he makes an harem XD

I would not apply mod until after playing through base game at least once. It makes it a different game, and not necessarily in a good way. :devilish:
I know you posted this a month ago, but it would be great if you or anyone else could explain in more detail what the Dai Sengoku mod actually entails and why the base game should be played without it first. I thought it was just a mod translation, lol. I tried to find out more by searching this thread, but only found vague information. From what I gathered, it's basically DLC, but it changes some of the original content?

I wouldn't mind some spoilers, because when I download a mod, I like to know exactly what's new in terms of content. Information about what the mod adds, what changes it makes, whether it makes the game easier or harder, etc. Basically, the mod's description. Because otherwise, I'm just downloading a mod blindly and I don't know if it will make my experience better or worse.

Came back to try playing this after a decade. Still hard as hell in the true route. By turn 30 I'm scarce on money and the enemy troops are now numbering in the 1000's as I fight Uesugi. The game has no guide and the wiki is very minimal when it comes to tips or advice. Skills can only get me so far when the AI cheats and always over scales you. Been trying to play through all the series but Sengoku Rance is a bitch to understand mechanics-wise. Maybe I just got filtered, but this sure as hell is not a good spot to start the series as some people suggest.

I've given several tips in this thread which should bring you up to snuff. Basically, you need better commanders, not more troops. Getting more troops is a trap because there's an algorithm that increases troop numbers based on how many troops the player has. You don't wanna go overboard, only have the units that are actually good become large, ones that you only use for scouting or whatever can just be 1 dude. Get satisfaction up - > Call in foreign reinforcements from Zeth - > profit.

At almost no point after turn 20 are you gonna be able to match enemies in numbers. You will almost ALWAYS be outnumbered. What matters is that you focus on strong commanders vs numbers. Tenshiism for example, places you against civilians with thousands of troops, but Katsuie with like 800 soldiers and a tactician can hold them back just fine.

Declaring war becomes an option only after you take the center province bordering Dokuganryu and battle the youkai there.

Does anyone know if there's any good ways to cheat that don't involve fearless cheat engine, save editing or the like? feels like i'm stuck against the monster army on my first playthrough

This game doesn't seem to be playable unless you know some dirty hacks to fool around AI. Played with patch v1.07, heavily used walkthrough and save-scammed, eventually you just hit the wall where I can't do shit about AI houses. Not even some monster armies, simply houses, they become a solid wall I can't get through.

By the way, AI cheats all the time, it can revive killed units and place them into the next battle (damaged, of course, but still the fact it can do this is already insane). It's often not possible to win due to move limit, there's simply not enough damage.

Also only 2 action points do suck. There must be a way to get more, but I didn't 'roll' +1 from satisfaction points, so, run's dead it seems.

The game is pure hell to play blind. You need to know about the game mechanic, good units, how to unlock most events etc.

If you use the Alicesoft wiki guide, the first playthrough is perfectly doable. It guides you to get a third and fourth action point as well. You accumulate Satisfaction points by fucking important women, who give 5 (or 3). The guide lets you conquer everything in a reasonable time (not too quick, not too long) step by step.

I failed this IQ test (two attempts), well, walk is very useful, but is not step by step, not at all. There's initial part of the game not explained, like economy.
Do I get more gold from taxes if I use construction?
In which order should I fuck around to rush SP as fast as possible? (although I get it, I failed by starting with Ashikaga in that run; I've looked some officer tier list and decided to "fuck it, let's go north", was a regrettable decision indeed)
It seems that first steps, especially days 1-5, need to be optimized af, but the walk explains the combat/houses/etc basics and stuff, then abruptly starts from the middle, ignoring this part.

But, actually, to hell with it, cheat engine printer goes brr

The guides are difficult to find, since the page is stuffed.

Scroll a bit and there is even a guide up to turn 90.

Nah, you're just doing things the game explicitly tells you not to do. Like going after major players instead of low hanging fruit.

You don't need to optimize for shit. Just don't waste flags on stuff that doesn't matter- construction is a complete waste of time, gold doesn't really matter. Unit quality is way more important than unit quantity, sub-optimal units still have their uses.

But, actually, to hell with it, cheat engine printer goes brr
Rance games- but especially the older titles, everything up to Rance 7- probably aren't for you if your reaction to a game being hard is to use a cheat engine instead of engaging with the game's mechanics or- baring that- reading a guide.
