It's not a mistake, after two weeks every update becomes public.
Do you have a monitor with a high refresh rate? Then you can fix it by setting your monitor to 60hz before launching the game and don't forget to change it back after quitting the game.

Other than keep building up affection after the first quest? I don't do much else. Maybe stay busy with something else and it will trigger eventually.
Does anyone know how to fish? I know it's dumb question but I try many time to no avail. I can cast the fishing rod but it just count down 5,4,3,2,1 and stop. I try pressing buttons but nothing really work. Also, there's no bait I don't think.
