Thank you so much for the detailed reply. Yeah I was playing the Normal mode for the first playthrough so 50 points was what I have gotten (That's why I ask) I was thinking where spending them will benefit me the most.
Is Combat skill worth the points?
For skill progression (and working to avoid spoiling anything).
First off, once you know how to play, you could get away with ... nothing.
I have done 0 point starts, you need a bit of luck at the flea market or dump to get a bot going; but it is certainly possible.
So any setup is workable, but some are preferable (edit reworded).
For hardcore point spending, getting E in all skills, and then D for mechanical means you can train BBS tech bots (C mechanical, D Electronics) from the start; which will get you money to make rent and spend time working up your skills further.
And your repairs are good enough to get things done reasonably quickly.
Alternatively, All E but getting the D in Sex could train a C class sex both for BBS or Robosechs for starting cash.
For training, if you need to raise a skill:
Combat/Sex are the easiest to train.
Get a bot and train that bot in that skill and you gain XP (even if the bot doesn't get training from you).
It's reasonably fast (comparatively at least).
Electrical/Mechanical aren't bad (any repairs you do or working in your shop gets you some XP); but if you start at F it's slow going to get anywhere.
The Diner owner in your neighborhood does cheap training in electrical/computers (20-30/AP point spent if he's not busy); which can get you to E or even D with a little time invested... past D you're better off doing your own repairs and work for training.
Mechanical seems to go up well when you fix busted slots for missing parts; that's pure mechanical work on any slot and can help get to D if you didn't start there.
Also, buying parts at the flea market; anything with a red star has a defect, and fixing defects can often give a bit more XP than just fixing parts. Ears/eyes with defects can give you multiple defect fixing XP boosts for electrical; or skin/implants for mechanical.
Just avoid arms/legs with defects as those can be cracked parts that cannot be fixed.
Social is a slow grind, see the girl at the corner store, or head to Robosechs and relax, or go to classes...
It's slow any way you go. Classes are generally the best bet once you have a combat bot who can escort you.
Starting at E lets you unlock D social bots for sales, which is good enough to start (you need a lot more for story stuff later).
Computer skill, no minimum skill is ever needed for anything; but stabilizing goes faster with it's higher.
I never worry about training for it specifically.
For selling bots, and the minimum to do so; Robosechs bots need at least a D sex skill; and a C sex skill is almost required to make any real profit if you're buying Flea Market and doing quick turnaround early on...
But the payout isn't all that good compared to BBS sales.
Learn the BBS sales minimum requirements; your skill can be 1 level lower than the bot you're training.
And the BBS requests repeat 1-2 times a week; so if you miss a sale just hold onto the bot and wait for the offer again.
(Storage space for bots can help with this, and renaming them so you know what they are for)
