It is kind of up to you. There are currently two actual women you can be with eventually, but you can choose to use sexbots as well. There are some mods that use real porn video for the sexbots, so that may be an option for you as well.

I have three comments about your question.
1) As AkiranGaming mentioned, there are two human women in the game and they are a large part of the story so not all sex is with robots.
2) A large part of the game is training sexbots and sex is one of the skills required so you must have sex with sexbots.
3) Most of the sexbots in the game do not look like robots. They are meant to be very realistic so the sex scenes do not look like a man having sex with a robot. This is also true for most of the mods that add sexbots to the game.
Bottom line, you must have sex with sexbots but with very few exceptions they do not look like robots.

Can you describe what is happening when you try to use a saved game? In the un-modded game there is no reason saves should ever be incompatible except saves from version 0.0.1. If you are not using mods and your saved games are not working that is a bug I'd like to fix. If you can provide details I'll look into it.
If you are using mods that's another story. I'm sorry but mods introduce many variables and I'm unwilling to track down and solve issues that involve mods. One thing you should know about mods that add bots, parts, BBS offers, or missions to the game: if they are removed saved games become corrupted. Mods that alter game play can usually be removed safely but there may be exceptions. It is possible to remove mods that contain ONLY bots (no parts, BBS offers, or missions) provided you do not own any of the bots in them in either capsules or storage.

Thanks for reporting this! I received a similar report on Discord. It is definitely a mistake on my part and I will issue a fix in a few days. I'm waiting in case other things are reported (I hope not!). The other report said selecting "ignore" on the error message got through the error so I hope everyone who encounters this error figures that out.
I am puzzled how this mistake got through testing because I used the 'Stabilize' function in Bot Monitor extensively and never saw the error. Can you tell me if the error happens every time for you or is it intermittent? Thanks!

I can confirm the error happens every time I click on the Stabilize button in the Bot Monitor. I can also confirm that selecting "ignore" on the error message does allow you to work around it for now. Thanks for mentioning that, I didn't think of trying it at the time.

Thanks for the additional information and I'm sorry about the bug. I have no idea why this never happened to me during testing because it is definitely a mistake in the code and the error message makes perfect sense. A large part of my testing was to use two different saved games from before the Friends with Benefits and Business Partners quests were written, one in Easy mode and one in Hardcore mode. I played through both quests until the content was finished and I used Bot Monitor extensively throughout play in both modes and I never saw this error message. This makes absolutely no sense to me but I am an amateur on Renpy/Python coding.
By the way, the line of code that causes the error is adding 'Expertise' for the bot model you are stabilizing. Stabilizing the bot is the line above this so I believe it should have worked. With the error you don't get the gain in expertise but that's a pretty minor thing. It is a pain to have to click on 'Ignore' and I will fix the bug soon.

I'm glad you're having fun! I know this isn't an easy game to learn and maybe I should provide some instructions but I think part of the fun is figuring it out. When I started playing DSCS a long time ago I experienced a few 'game over' outcomes while I was figuring it out but I got addicted anyway. I actually miss figuring things out because since I'm programming the game there are no longer any surprises for me.
There is a good group of players on Discord who are pretty fast to help new players if they post questions there. I also answer questions there but often other players beat me to it.
Aside: I like many of the games you mention in your signature: Leap of Faith, Summer's Gone, Karlsson's Gambit, STWA: Unbroken, and Pale Carnations are some of my favorites. Not sure why but a couple of the others didn't do it for me: Eternum, Sexbot, Being a DIK, and Fetish Locator. There are so many games out there so everyone can find something they enjoy.

There's only one way I know of avoiding to make any mistake: to do nothing. Thank you for not choosing this route.
An additional point is, DSCS - and therefore SR24 too - was not written by you. True, you have modified it extensively (the new bot monitor is great!), but I can bet there are parts of the code you didn't have to dive into, and because of that you don't know exactly what they do. It's much easier to let a bug through if working with the code which was not originally yours.

You make good points, thanks! In this particular case it's purely a stupid copy/paste error. I wish the error had happened when I played during testing and I still don't understand why it didn't. When I received your bug report and the one on Discord I tried to reproduce the error and it simply doesn't happen on my Windows 11 computer nor does it happen on my Android tablet. Weird!
You're right that I haven't even looked at all of the DSCS code and sometimes when I do look at his code I have no idea how it works. Radnor is an experienced programmer and liked to bypass Renpy and do things his own way so some of his code is way over my head! He's helped me a lot along the way and it's been fun. Cheers!

I'm happy that you share a lot of common liked games haha...
We all have our different preferences, so I can see why you and many others don't like some of those other ones you listed. I think my current favorite game right now is Pale Carnations so at least we share that one in common XD
I'll come back later in the week and leave you a positive review later since I've been having a lot of fun with this and hope more people find it.

Since we're waiting on the fix for that bug i'll take the opportunity to ask if there has been any known improvements about the slowdown player can get after installing mods ?
I usually go with the mandatory ones (shaky mods for example) and a few bot models (i think i have about 40 total folders in my mods directory, about 27 being Mrbots' characters) and I get a 1 to 2 seconds of delay after clicking most buttons.
Obviously the amount of content in each bot is the culprit and i guess the base code was not made/optimized for that (especially videos/gifs). I haven't played since SR 11.2 mind you, so maybe it has already improved since.
Is it something that can be improved or should i resign myself to lower the amount of babes i get to see in my runs ?

Unfortunately there is no chance you're ever going to see performance improvements in this game. I'm curious, what platform are you on? I play on two platforms. One is a fast Windows 11 PC (you need a good PC to use DAZ effectively) and there is barely any lag regardless of what is installed. The other is Android and there is a lot of lag even in the "vanilla" game.

I'm a little surprised lag is a problem for you, I wish I could do something about it but I don't have the skills.
There is a game setting to preload the images and videos and unless you have a lot of programs running you have plenty of RAM to use it. Look for it in the settings. It says you have to restart the game after turning it on. If it's already on then I have no other suggestions.
