You make some good points but let me explain why I'm doing things differently. For me realism is important, I think of this more like a "simulation" than a "game".If I've spent X points to gain X benefit I want to keep that benefit. Having an upkeep of Y to keep the X benefit and then lose it if I don't "pay for it" because it's realistic just makes me not want to do it, because to me at least it's not worth the effort.
I don't really care about realism, it's a videogame, y'know? Since there's no other skill degradation, it feels weirdly punitive "because the dev said" to this one specifically.
About paying the debt triggering the next quest, I get it, although I don't agree with the rationale.
It's like AkiranGaming said: having the quest trigger when the MC got enough skill / reputation / money would represent a presence large enough to draw attention.
Then again, it's your creative decision.

What can I say? I'll start again, but now I'll begin by training the bots and getting higher parts some weeks before the deadlines arrive after I let money pool by paying nearly all the debt but a small sliver of it...
...Aka, I'll game the system this time to keep playing, which is something that demands that me as a player to "know" about the next step before it arrives.
In my case, I feel like don't want a game that I need to know what's next to avoid a failure state, or that'll be afraid to experiment because it isn't the proper choice.I'm not sure if I want to play a game that I always know what's next.
Is the game programmed for you to fail? Or you can't take the challenge? What is there to play when it is "fail-proof" by design? That kind of "game" is more like a "choice don't matter" VN than a game. Just my opnion. In my case, I feel like don't want a game that I need to know what's next to avoid a failure state, or that'll be afraid to experiment because it isn't the proper choice.
The game has the right mix of game play and story for me.I think the odd hybrid nature of SR24 is the underlying issue behind all of this discussion. It's really 2 games in 1. The bot restoration sandbox game that was DSCS and the VN-like story that is unique to SR24. Some people like the sandbox and some people prefer the VN-like part but few people like both parts. I suspected this would cause problems and the discussion we've been having proves it. Both parts of the game are important to me and I'm not going to sacrifice either one of them so issues like this will never go away.
I like the game how it is but I want to know is there any plan to add more Sexbots even different types with high ranking like A S class in future so we can have more diversity in Raymond's Shop and in general?I think the odd hybrid nature of SR24 is the underlying issue behind all of this discussion. That's an unexpected question. There are lots of bot mods made and I believe most players use them to have more variety. When I played DSCS I always used Daedalron bots which has over 20 different bots plus a few of Yurishikane's bots. (Since I started developing SR24 I don't use mods at all for testing purposes.)I like the game how it is but I want to know is there any plan to add more Sexbots even different types with high ranking like A S class in future so we can have more diversity in Raymond's Shop and in general?
Okay I will try some mods and thank you so much for answering. That's an unexpected question. There are lots of bot mods made and I believe most players use them to have more variety. It's cool man I was just curious because modded stuff I never really used much in any game I guess because I preferred using the characters (here in this case bots) to be straight from the creator and ones they specifically intended in their game.Anyway, making bots takes development time that I prefer to put into other parts of the game so I will not be making new bots for a while. There will be a few special or novelty bots like the ones introduced in the last version but they will not be available for the MC to own.
Okay thank you for the warning I will sure to remember them.I suggest you look at the various bot mods out there but a word of warning; removing mods usually breaks saved games so save a game before adding mods in case you don't like them.
I tried it out and it seems this happens because when you work on a bot you gain expertise in that bot, and that variable gets added to the save file. The game doesn't handle you having expertise in bots it can't define and crashes.a word of warning; removing mods usually breaks saved games so save a game before adding mods in case you don't like them.
You are correct about that is happening but the game has always been able to do this without errors. I didn't create the code for this, it was made by Radnor years ago and it has always worked. Please tell me which bot mod you are using, I'd like to figure out what is going wrong.I tried it out and it seems this happens because when you work on a bot you gain expertise in that bot, and that variable gets added to the save file. mc > stats > expertise_[Abot] > _level 0
mc > stats > expertise_[Abot] > _xp 4175
Don't worry about it. I deliberately caused the error. I added a bot named 'Abot' then removed the Abot.json from the mods folder to see what errors happen under what conditions. You can save/load normally after removing Abot.json until you train Abot, at which those expertise_Abot lines are added to the saves. I think removing/ignoring them would let the unmodded game load the save normally. I should probably shut up until I've got it properly figured out though. Please tell me which bot mod you are using, I'd like to figure out what is going wrong.
Fair enough. I don't know how to edit saves myself so you're on your own.Don't worry about it. I deliberately caused the error.
