BannerNude.png Overview:
Sexual Duty is an erotic fantasy adventure visual novel. In it you play as Nicole, a girl who recently got kicked out of the Order of Paladins. Paladins are raised from birth to be the ultimate sexual lovers. Originally created to stop a sexual infection, they now just wonder around the world trying to fix any sexual problems they come across. They should always think about others, never about themselves. But now Nicole no longer has to live under the strict guidelines of the Order. And she's even starting to question if they people who raised her are donig the right thing.

Nicole started traveling the world after being kicked out, trying to fix the damage being made into a Paladin has done to her body. On her journey she comes across a small village called Sandsinger. There she meets a girl named Elise who is in need of her sexual skills because she has trouble orgasming. So maybe Nicole's training and sexual powers won't go to waste after all.

From what I've gathered, High School Crush Simulator was cancelled due to not bringing in enough money. I understand it's challenging for games with female MCs to make as much as ones with male MCs - even if the female is not conventional anatomically or preferentially. This game also features a female MC. I wish it the very best of luck.
Unrelatedly, as a man who's been married for 20+ years, 'sexual duty' has a seperate meaning for me altogether.
Carry on, and cheers.

The female MC thing is a bit funny, as it does seem there is a loud minority who complain about it, but we do see games that see great success in this genre, Lily of the Valley, Good Girl Gone Bad, Anna: Exciting Affection, and i'm sure a few others that i'm forgetting. I guess they all do feature the corruption trope in some degree though. Could be something for Bright Sun to consider with the story path of this.

I always kind of prefer female MC's myself, they always tend to be a little better written, you get to read their thoughts, feelings, and rationale a tad more, and so many male MC's are kind of just douchebags (though of course, not all).
Yeah, I know a lot of people claim that female protagonist games don't work, but that simply isn't true. As you mentioned, several of them got very successful. And I've seen several polls about this subjec that show there is about a 48%-52% gender preference in favor of the males.

But since most players are guys, no one complains about male protagonists. Some guys have problems with playing a girl (a very small minority I think), so you occasionally see people mention that female protagonist games aren't popular. But I think that issue seems bigger than that it actually is. Plenty of people have commented on my games that they loved that it had a more realistic take on playing as a woman. I also feel like the people who complain about female protagonist games still wouldn't end up liking me game I had made the protagonist male (without changing much else) as I think it's more of a fetish/narrative tone thing than an actual dislike of playing as a girl.

I have seen some legitimate critisisms of female protagonist games (mostly about people thinking lesbian sex isn't as engaging or hot to read about as sex feature penetration and about the softer, romantic tone those games go for), but I've also seen a lot of love.

It is certainly true though that people who like female protagonist games can also enjoy male protagonist games while they other way around isn't always true. But for my personally... I just don't like writing male characters that much. I'm interested in girls, so it's easier for me to write a likeable protagonist if she's female. And why settle for one pretty girl to look at/work with when you can have two (or more)?

Yet another Bright Sun Studios game, when the others haven't been competed yet.

When others gone down this path, it went badly. With having this amazing community at your disposal, which is a valuable learning resource, I find it strange that one couldn't learn from the mistakes of others who have tried and failed this approach.

Spreading one's self so thin, means no quality can be given to anything, attention to detail is diminished, and fans of one particular title have to wait that bit longer for updates.

It's kinda unclear from the description, but is the MC the futa? One of the screen shots seem to suggest that, but none of the others confirm. I haven't played yet, so I'm asking... I'd be much more interested if the MC was futa.

(also, is the word "futa"/"futanari" both a noun and adjective, like the words male and female?)

I know what you mean, so please see this post:

All you said is true, but there are reasons why develops go for multiple projects. Since I started developing my own games, I've learned the sometimes very different mindsets players and developers have.

As a player, I totally understand not wanting to wait for an update of a game you like because a developer is working on something else. But look at it from a developer's viewpoint for a second: What do you do if a game that is well-liked does not bring in nearly enough money to justify continued development? Do you keep developing it purely for the people who liked it and want to continue while working against a financial loss each month? Or do you try to create a second project that you hope will become more popular that might bring in the money required to also support the first project?

I'm not trying to justify starting so many projects. That certainly was a mistake on my part and that's why I've decided to cancel all my projects now. But I am trying to explain that there is/was a reasonable well-reasoned reason behind the decision. It might look like developers like me keep switching projects because they dislike they once they created before that. But that isn't the case (at least not for most projects). The sad fact is that creating games is a job for most developers, not a hobby project. So finances play a big part in that, whether the players like it or not

Yes, the MC is futa (sort of). She is actually a normal girl, but one of her Paladin powers is switching between a vagina and a penis. So sometimes she's a futa, sometimes she isn't.

You can also choose to skip all futa scenes if you don't like futas, but for you that isn't a problem I suppose.

If you're implying your sex life is bad because of the numbers of years involved that wouldn't be the actual reason. I know plenty of couples who have great sex lives after 20+ years. If both partners make efforts to stay attractive to each other, make efforts to communicate their desires and make efforts to fulfill each others desires where they feel comfortable (and maybe push those boundaries a bit) there's no expiry date on a healthy sex life. I should know after walking in on my parents way too many times back when I was living at home still.

If you were just making a joke I apologize it just annoys me when I hear people complain about their sex lives (married or not) when there's always things you can do to improve your situation. Like communication is so key, and if you can't communicate your frustrations why are you even together (this is a general question, not targeted at you).

Poor sex life is a big issue in this day and age, you can hear about it on the constant. Some single people or couples do have great sex lives, especially if they know what they like and they get that in their relationship, but for many that isn't the case.

I honestly don't feel much sympathy for those with bad sex lives. There's so many things you can do to improve your sex life. And personally every relationship I've been in I was able to communicate quite openly about my sexual desires and even if they weren't open to it we found things we were both open to and that led to us both feeling a lot happier about it. Outside of that just stay in shape, whether single or a couple sex will both be more frequent and enjoyable if you're looking and feeling better.

I guess it might be a bigger issue among older generations, but literally every girl I've dated (so 16-26 year range her as I've grown up) has been really open about talking about sex. And also open to the idea of hitting the gym. Sex has been the easiest part of relationships for me.

In terms of the game itself it seems decent enough when I saw some of the initial stuff, not quite my thing though. I didn't delete it though so who knows, maybe I come back to it.

I hear you on the point of continuing a game's development that isn't bringing in enough funding to justify continuing work it.

But have you considered for a moment, that with so many titles, that are not bringing in enough on their own or cumulatively, that there might be something more inherently wrong in your approach? I'm not meaning to be insulting by saying that. I honestly like how diverse and unique your games are; female protagonist, futa, lgbt, etc - they're not done enough imo. But the masses don't feel the same way, unfortunately. Developing one quality game, that panders to the masses, would bring in the necessary funding. And would also allow you to have maybe 1 side project, that doesn't pander, and is more about the love of the art.

Just a thought, and just one persons opinion. I really hope things get better for you, because I do like your games.

Their Beautiful World Divinity and High School Crush was the two i was interested in an Divinity i played and liked.
Sucks all the games are canceled and you moved to an engine that i have had issues with. Sometimes rpgm games crash since they eat up ram and then all the running around along with other issues with the engine.
Hope this works out for you!

Some good points since Female Protagonist seem to be one of the tags more people avoid!
I also agree that not enough games have Futa!
