she WILL be in it, and most likely have her own full story like most girls. however, she won't be in it in the first week of gameplay (for plot reasons which will become clear). i still plan on giving yelena and morrigan a bit more of a fleshing out than daphne and nakita, though. plus there's a LOT of other characters.I really hope that Nakita will be one of the main girls in this
I'm quite excited about this one, I really hope you do a ton of animations. STH was awesome without them, but I think it would have really put it over the top.
i still can't guarantee animations. i don't want to do them unless i can do good quality. at the moment, that's out of my skills because the graphics card i have can't handle it. next year, though, i will be trying my hand at animations. just not sure if they'll be in STH2 initially, though.
TLDR: best intentions, but quality first.

Really enjoyed the first game, liked the art and the setting but loved the personality you put into the girls. One of the few games I've actually wanted to read every line. Reminds me, I should go rate the first game...
decided to use the "tooltips" section with dialogue choices! this will allow for small (not spoilery) hints and tips prior to making some choices.
in this case, hovering over the first dialogue choice (to apologise) reveals that it probably won't stop her shrieking at you. some tooltips will be comments, but others will be useful. this keeps a mix of fun, adventure, and informative tips where required.
also, as MC is a warlock, the summoning of demons is a thing. i've begun testing some models for the humanoid ones, seeing which ones i can modify (such as this one which didn't allow much modification of the head).
i expect one frequent saying to be "well, she IS female..."
Totally understandable. Any chance you will revisit your older games once you have the capability? hell your rendering is excellent quality, your perfectionism paid off so once you nail down animation.. shit you'll have fans for life.
in honesty, i do want to revisit STH1, if only to clean it up to see if i can get it on Steam or other sites which sell games, too. I have it on itch.io, but it'd be nice to feel like it's good enough for a proper release. of course,t hat sort of depends on whether the new laws in the US will gut our industry overnight, of course...
this time next year i might be rendering in a murky little basement with one ear on the door waiting for the feds to kick it down and arrest me for daring to create fictional characters.

it'd be a bit horrifying in its current form as it'd make it hard to host porn, and DOES cover our work even if we don't have real models. which is just more reckless stupidity in my view. erotic works using fictional characters and situations are, and should remain, a personal choice. while the basic spirit of the law is fairly reasonable, it has misused the spirit to chuck a blanket over the whole industry.
which in the end works as well as a war on drugs.

i'd like to share with you MY FINAL RENDER
...with this video card. my 3090 is arriving today! i anticipate now a much faster development on STH2 and will update over the coming week(s) as i test the actual capability of the card and most likely redesign some of the sets/hairs of characters to improve quality even further.

I don't normally post detailed updates here, but here you go.
Patreon has delivered to me an order to redesign my models or GTFO. Apparently they're minors. I have been requested to add big tits (because their heights are normal) and remove the toon details (makes them look like loli dolls apparently).
This is... a delay.
I am unsure how long this will take me at this stage to start character design from scratch. I had a few characters with small boobs, so I'll need to change them, and changing the toon out means I'll have to update everyone in the game because they're all a smidge toony as you've seen. Game would look weird if they all didn't have the same basic features.
For the record, I think this is total bullshit. But whatever.
Maybe I'll make a high school game instead, right? no minors there.
