That didn't work for me however I found another way.
Go to %localappdata%/ost_game/saved/config/windows/engine.ini
then add this code at the end:
[SystemSettings]
r.FidelityFX.FSR3.QualityMode=3
r.FidelityFX.FI.Enabled=0

Black screen fix for me:
From C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\OST_Game\Saved\
Delete config folder.
From the Savegames subfolder, delete SettingsSave.sav.

I've deleted the whole OST_Game folder after trying what you and others said, yet every single time I launch the game I get black screen..

Worded it specifically "for me", because this game is notoriously break-y, and fixes are highly indvidual.
Has always worked with my hardware, but once in a while Auril breaks stuff with an update that doesn't work with files left over from last update.

Game just has never been the same since the UE5 "upgrade". Game runs fine enough for me but so much is just broken and unplayable due to game breaking bugs.

I think I finally figured out the fix for the black screen issue.
Go to User\AppData\Local and delete OST game.
Then relaunch it should work after a min or two.
I think its all the old files from old updates making it not work and it needs to generate "new" files for it to work from the old engine to the new one.
Edit# putting in tape #10 from the download seems to make it black screen again not sure what that is about. not sure if making new saves is the way to go or if any save makes the game black screen but that is a pretty serious bug in either case.

Might I suggest deleting the game, emptying out the bin and finding a real one? Universe is talking to you man....

Really impressed with the performance in v0.35b. The game was falling apart at the seams in the previous version, it feels like they've really focused on optimising it for this release (at least comparatively!)
