They had already had their account suspended whilst investigations were carried out into their content out by Patreon following reports made and although they were cleared up at the time, there was an element of seeing the writing on the wall based on what Patreon had done in the past to some creators on the platform and the chances of getting caught up in another purge and taking precautions to prevent their account being suspended and all the hassle and worry of dealing with the problem then.
