It's a shame there are no consequences for defeat - only a death screen. Can anyone suggest games where you can escape from the monsters' lair after defeat? Like in LonaRPG. Or where the parasites can attach themselves to your body and you can continue playing with them, like in The Agnietta ~Healer and the Cursed Dungeon~ ?

No, The dev explained that this game was not made with multiple costumes in mind so adding even one more was a very long and arduous effort, so that's probably it.
