I don't know for sure, but I'd assume you have to start over with v0.8. I know a lot of work was put into this release. That work might have included things that could've made old saves incompatible.

Yes, that's correct. The dev, Kaffekop, has had some health and other struggles. It's really taken a lot out of him, but he's thankfully past that (hopefully for good now). He is an example of a dev who not only had completely understandable reasons for being away but who also persevered and has never wavered in his commitment to his game. I have nothing but respect for him.

There are no animations. Mainly because I haven't found a good way of incorporating them into the Visual Novel that makes me happy. Generally I am of the belief that animations as a rule doesn't add anything of value to a Visual Novel.
That being said, I am looking into learning to animate using DAZ, but so far I am not happy with my results. Should I ever reach a point where I am happy with the results, you guys will probably be the first to know.

Coming from someone who generally doesn't play games that don't have animations
This game was one of the exceptions because I'm a fan of the kinks
