Basically we have to wait for the breakup with his new GF and or Wife and we will finally get an update in a few years.
As someone who's been following this closely since 0.2, I hope his love lasts. Good for him.

Kaffekop has had a lot of health problems and finally now that he has come out of it, it seems normal to me that he has chosen to prioritize his private life and unlike others who post updates just to bleed money , Kaffekop has never done that, we have waited all these years forming a friendly and respectful relationship with him. I do NOT believe we will not have future update that concludes the story, but no one can say when and if it will happen.Mary's character is invented from scratch, but her physical appearance is based on memories of a pleasant acquaintance in Kaffekop

I did not see myself returning here, I have to admit that. I loved hanging out in here and time would sometimes just pass me by, which could prove problematic at times. Usually I make a choice and walk away, never looking back at what could/might have been - this is one of those few times.
Someone, in my circle of friends in real life, has pestered me enough about this project that I have agreed to pass the development of Sins of the Father, on to him. That being said, I have decided to stay somewhat involved as a writer/storyteller for the project but i will leave the visuals entirely up to him.
If it is possible to convert the characters from Gen3 to Gen8 or later in Daz, and still pass the "vibe check" they will continue as part of the project, but if not... then he will create new characters for the lot of them. I want very much for him to retain the characters as they are, but he wants to work with a newer generation in Daz.
My friend is currently working on his own project, which I have agreed to be a writer/storyteller on, so him picking up Sins of the Father, will first happen when his own project is done and dusted. It's a fairly short project so he should be able to finish it within this year - so he says.
I hope you are all well and are living the best lives out there. They say patience is a virtue, so I hope that you will be able to embrace it.

There were times when I was thinking "Oh, another bullshitter with "I'm sick"/"I'm this"/"My dog died", but what stood out is that whenever anything like it happened - billing cycle was put on pause(or it was $$$ per update, can't remember for 100%), so unless the man wanted to get a bunch of "get well soon" from pervs, there were no reasons for him to lie.Damn, that's sad but at least he isn't like DC and ICSTOR that milks people's money while lying abt working on the project.

Around the time this project came out, it had a fat chance to become the next big thing. But, unfortunately, the frequncy of updates messed it up.
Around the time it became revived, Gen8-8.1 became the standard, every other game had animations etc.
In all honesty, I hope that author will remain as a writer while someone will work on renders and update it.
I'd even say "Let's update the visuals and add anims to sex scenes", but it will turn into another remake hell, which may turn a lot of people off.

I would suggest to everybody to shut the hell up, hope for the best and wait patiently. And read everything above before posting. This game is one of the kind and it won't be abandoned!

It's the plan for me to only be writing for him. Everything visually I will leave up to him.
He is a little on the fence about which generation to use at this point; Gen8 or Gen9.
I already told him that Gen8 is fine, especially since he has managed to transfer Mary from Gen3 to Gen8, and I dare to say that he has done a great job on her - something I was never able to.
I have always been an advocate for no animations in these games. My partner and I do not agree on that, so we're still debating that part.
