And the worst thing is that the character he created, "Meru", will not go beyond his few "episodes", and the rest will be pure images created by the community, both for usage rights and because the original creator will always be in the shadow of the character and any project that is born without him is a work that will be destined to go wrong, so I doubt that anyone will use the character or any of the other characters presented.
Another similar case is Derpixon. Literally, the bastard created an interesting (not original, but interesting) foundation with their role-playing miniseries, only for it to end up all screwed and interesting concepts thrown in the trash due to a "lack of desire."
I understand that obviously not everyone wants or can handle the weight a fandom can carry, even if they were paid millions for it, but seriously, with the recent closures of so many artists leaving and works in this genre that are already "classics" ending or closing, the future looks very bad or sad in terms of real content. Because, although interesting, artificial intelligence can never replace handwork and, above all, an idea born from creativity and not from an algorithm.
And of course, there are also the morons who already betray their community and, thanks to the "support" of the "platforms," get away with it, which generates fear or distrust in people when it comes to supporting the new generation and, therefore, the need to fall into the vagueness that using AI is the only option to continue, rather than being an option among others. God... what a terrible cycle we're in, huh?
