Yeah... but as if the creator lying or deceiving about "why he's not continuing or why his projects are delayed" weren't a problem, right friend? Given that it's one thing to simply say, "I'm burned out, I don't want to work on this anymore for a while or forever," and "honestly" communicate it so everyone can decide when or if to stop supporting it, and quite another to pull the line that "I have medical problems," only for it to end up not being true or only being half true, while continuing to collect from those who support it.

And I understand that Skudd had a tough time with the whole Patreon thing trying to raise funds for his work, but he finally succeeded. He had a project that interested people and other ideas that, although he made it clear he didn't have the money to continue, were attractive for the future. In the end, although he has the right to do so, since no one can force him, the fact that everything ends abruptly because he no longer wants to continue doesn't mean that everything ends well and that it doesn't give the image or impression of: "Thanks for your support so far. It's a shame I can't continue, but what can be done now? By the way, my health isn't that bad, bye."

I repeat that, within the same group of similar situations involving other creators, Skudd was at least honest in the end, and within the same group, he's not that bad, but just that... "he's not as bad as the others."

Just wanted to give you all a quick update on the Gwen Project and Skudd. As you all know, the project got shut down last October because of Skudd’s "medical condition." But like I mentioned before, it wasn’t really that, he’s just a moody person. Anyway, since then, people have been asking him if he’s gonna work on the project again, and his answer has always been a firm "no."

However, Two guys from the Discord, M84-3D and Naes, are trying to finish it up on their own. Some of what they’ve done isn’t great at all (the video below), but they’re really giving it their all and asking Skudd and others for help and feedback, but they’re not really getting much help.

Here’s the funny part (and kinda annoying) : someone brought up a film project that got delayed because fans requested changes on the film, and told Skudd he shouldn’t listen to his audience regarding Gwen Project, and Skudd kinda blamed his Subs for the delay in his response, saying that’s why the project has taken so long. Like, really? That’s just wild .

And as expected, yesterday someone asked about Skudd’s health situation, and he responded that he is recovering . So, he’ll probably post an announcement at the end of this year, and he’ll hype his fans about a new project. Expect this to happen by the end of the
year.

Also, being sick and shit posting is very different from being sick and being productive. Funny too, being sick has a way of making you moody AF. yeah its very well known than animation is not complex and time eating at all so lets have a 13 minutes buildup that take years to make just to finally not having any sex parts in the end

I don't expect anything, but it's interesting that so many people don't understand the premise of Patreon and then whine afterwards. Patreon is a platform for supporting creators. It's literally in the name. Those who support the artists are Patrons of the arts. It is not a kickstarter or pre-order-Gumroad, etc. Sometimes those artists produce something you want, and other times they don't. Sometimes they start something, and then they stop. If that's hard to deal with, then people should never have supported in the first place. I've supported artists who end up flaking out - and that's okay. My problem for accepting months and years without substantial progress being shown. Oh well. Do due dilligence, and understand the platform you're throwing money at, and then nobody will have to whine.

Derpixon has gone on hiatus, almost into retirement apparently.
