Oh uhm, well in my case there is sound when getting spanked, tears and drool I believe fade away normally. Though masochism seems kinda buggy or maybe I misunderstood it's mechanism, but hate/love levels seem off.
One thing that never worked for me was the "speak" button which should trigger something during scenes but nothing happens. So what does 4.8 version has that 4.5 doesn't? If it's just the same or nothing important I'll just install 4.5 version if it's more stable.
