The original Slave Lords is a completely separate game. You should play it because it's great, but don't need to play it to get the full experience out of this game. This game is less of a direct sequel and more of a spiritual successor.

Played this again for the first time in years. I genuinely think this is his best game. Prefer the art style as well.
