Those pics were from the time when SG only featured Nancy in the comics, none of the established side characters we have now like Country Girl, Pam, The Putz, Trixie etc. Those images may have served as inspiration for Country Girl later but they aren't meant to be CG.

Yeah sadly the pages are Eve having a villain monologue to a tied up Trixie about how she didn't realise who Trixie was all this time (The Black Fox who broke into Violet's house and tied her up to her own machine as seen in those images you posted), she just assumed Trixie was an unruly student who peddled drugs on the side or that it was Trixie who tried to blackmail her (Also a flashback image of it) but tells Trixie she has overplayed her hand as she tells Trixie that her situation is hopeless as they have effectively made her disappear without a trace according to police. All this monologue while Eve is eating a melted cheese sandwich.

After 4 pages, it does end with Eve going to a wall to get a cat o' nine tails, so hopefully we get back to some action.

Action is important, but story is even more. Let'się wait what will happen when Evie discover the Spa tête-à-tête. I still believe in happy ending.
Probably happy is not the best word here... Not ultmate oone?

Pitty. I kind of liked the silly atmosphere of super heroes and super villains and their slight delusion (as both have) in their never ending battle. Also the Police Force being not very capable and other things... it kept things a bit light. Now it becomes darker and darker and not in a good way.

Sure these aren't things you should joke about either, but sometimes it pays to keep things light rather than try to go for a gritty tone.

Pitty. I kind of liked the silly atmosphere of super heroes and super villains and their slight delusion (as both have) in their never ending battle. Also the Police Force being not very capable and other things... it kept things a bit light. Now it becomes darker and darker and not in a good way.

Sure these aren't things you should joke about either, but sometimes it pays to keep things light rather than try to go for a gritty tone.

SG hasn't done a Superhero focused comic or gallery image for that matter in years. He is all in now on the Nancy world he has come up with, along with the supporting characters like Trixie etc.

I think SG is experimenting with how dark his fan base will let him go. For years, he could have shown Eve or Violet pegging a guy, like for example if the "Roofie Colada" comic ending was different instead of where both the couple from it got drugged and Eve and Violet were making out with them in the pool, but he never pulled the trigger. Now not only are we seeing pegging, but we are seeing more darker bdsm like for example "Meanwhile in Violet's Dungeon" at the end where she puts Country Girl away in some drawer, bereft of all sight and sound, like it is a coffin. Guess we will see what SG wants to sample next in "To break a thief", because sexually pleasuring someone doesn't exactly break someone, especially not Trixie. Eve is going to have to physically torture her, hence the cat o' nine tails in the current pages released.

I agree. To be honest, I'd never thought about this alternative ending of Roofie Colada, but now I can think about it that way. Many things happening even if no one is able to see them.
But about some darker side of current comics, before all stuff had been non visible but obvious; ) now it is more explicit. That's how I can see it. There is an old image (black and white) where Evie comments two naked women chained to the wall. Maybe it is not part of the main story, but exist.
So: l do agree probably there will be a lot of pain, suffering, ordeal, but I hope there will be some kind of happy ending. Happy means not totally hopeless.

In our case, I think SG is now gathering many of the clues that - until now - was only suggested. Personally I agree his choice; it's time to go straight to the point, after so much digressions and subplots.

There is an old image (black and white) where Evie comments two naked women chained to the wall. Maybe it is not part of the main story, but exist.

About image - exactly this one. I like it btw. Maybe some deeper story behind it .
I'version also thought about another parts of "Thief saga".
Trixie is the best, but SG is the owner, and he keeps all keys.
