the steam and patreon version do have skip, not sure what this leaked build is doing....weird....

it's in 4k and some animations are 200-300mb and renpy has a really bad way of supporting that, it's ram based, if you have 16gb ram or around there it will be slower... we have around 45-47 minutes of animated content and some animations are 90sThis was a very enjoyable AI game and significant upgrade from the previous version. I don't write that very often. There was however a problem with the animations which are slow moving. I don't think its my hardware. Hopefully, that gets resolved.
not sure where this build came on the text speed, it's configurable and tested....

Unfortunately, yes..."skip" doesn't work. "auto" is slow.

it's not reversed but bugged. all the way to the right has the same speed than all the way to the left.
the trick is to set the speed not to max but close.
so the max speed is actually 200 and min speed is 0 (0 default for instant) not sure what this bug actually is...again this isn't build i shared...
Hey guys, so for those of you where the game's been running like crap - yeah we figured out what's going on. It's basically Ren'Py being dumb with memory when we throw a ton of animations at it. Day 3's fantasy scene has like 20 animations that are 1.2GB total, and Ren'Py just keeps eating RAM like crazy.
The Halloween special is our test fix - it's got 63 animations in ONE scene (yeah, more than most AVNs have in their entire release, but who's counting right? lol). We used this animation selector thingy that should stop the memory from going nuts despite the insane amount of content.
Can you guys who had the slow/laggy issues give the Halloween special a try and let me know if it runs better? If that works smooth then we know the fix works and we'll do the same thing for all the heavy scenes.
Also PSA: don't play the compressed version if you want the game to look good. WebP is absolute garbage for 4K images, especially AI-polished ones. They look best in PNG or at least JPG at 70% quality. WebP just murders the image quality, so you're basically playing a potato version of the game.

It depends on your compression settings. WebP can use both lossy and lossless algorithms.

i played with a lot of settings, compare the halloween special to the others… webp cannot compete with png, in micro details for daz 1080p the differences are minimal but 4k ai polish it’s huge
