Just beat it myself, tips below:
- Progression I used, besides healing as needed, was:
[4] mana
[8] 1 clairvoyance rest mana
[12] 1-2 clair rest mana
[16] 1-3 clair rest mana
[20] no slime, max hearts (6), rest into clair
[24] End of game
- Evasion is a noob trap, don't pick it.
- Corner numbers, when the back of the corner is known and two numbers on side of corner are known, are the safest way to identify monsters.
- Once a single monster location is known (use right click often!), then you can use any ones to find safe surrounding spaces, same with two monsters together and twos, etc.
- The monsters in the first four floors (tutorial) don't hurt you, just zoom through.
- Make life easier on yourself and disable either slimes or traps on the final levels. The last level WILL have everything though.
- If all of your starting locations are greater then zero, consider taking a chance and clicking far away.
- Its easier to restart if you get a monster on [4-8] then carrying on, you can't afford to waste mana on heals that early.
- This game is partly luck based, sometimes you are just going to lose randomly, no matter what.
- The ending is...non-traditional. Lame as hell, but also funny.
