how do i install the mining laser?im having trouble with it

I had just answered this for another person. You need to use the terminal in the cargo bay to install any equipment. Access the terminal and click on the tab that says subsys and there should be a button to install the laser.
You use the same process for any equipment that you purchase for the ship, such as shields, weapons, or engines.

So I seem to be having some trouble advancing Nimhe. She mentioned selling bots through orders, but I haven't seen any orders in the computer. I've sold a lot of bots just through the market but that doesn't seem to be triggering the next phase.

I think you have to set your bots to work in the sex arcade and then let them earn some cash OR it might be that you need to make a bot with an IQ greater than 140 and then try to use it in the sex arcade. So, pimp your bots out and keep making better bots to pimp out and sell.
I can't remember exactly what it is that triggers the next step with her. It might be that you need to earn something like 1 million credits by pimping out bots, making higher IQ bots, or just selling enough bots to earn X amount of cash.

If nothing else, press P to bring up your quest/mission tracker and see if there are any hints for advancing with Nimhe.

It looks like I need to advance her assassin bot quest further....Now the next thing I'm hung up on is the Galaxina shell. I found it randomly from a fight but I want to keep it instead of turning it in. How do I do that? It's not in my bot inventory that I can see but it's also not like a robot crate in my inventory.

in the last zone, you can use analizers to analize it and replicate a copy with the replicator
IT lets you put one into a bot and give the other for credits and galaxina scene.
