A matter of taste: I like that, after a super-hectic first day, you have time to breathe a bit and above all to learn a huge amount of stories (and world background) from your fellow cadets. Time to flesh out those characters (who, in theory, you know very well -except Fatima-) who are also your primary love interest choices and the most relatable of the cast.
I'm happy with Ranli's choice.

A chance to breathe was necessary but this is not that, nothing is actually moving forward for the protagonist, it's flashbacks. Having the MC interacting with the team over basic training would have been a better way of developing them, with a flashback or 2 if required.

They are listed as love interests, although it's possible that's an in game joke, they are also some of the least developed characters. Who the MC knows isn't really important, what's important is who the player gets to know.

That’s my thinking An issue with serialisation is that the flow you derive from a whole playthrough is split up, but I’m confident that this will feel like a natural end of day wind-down as part of the whole. Just before I smack you round the head withe the Phase Finale

He’s deepening his relationship with the other Ganymedian cadets - and having his first sexual contact with them - which I regard as moving forward. You‘re also getting to know the Cadets better.

I’d say that there’s a lot of character development here - irrespective of the time that development is shown in. Fatima, for instance, has set up a secret conversation with MC (Rebellion path), and we’ve found out that Sam has a dead brother... which is quite important MC, meanwhile, has had some of his illusions about Chang and the nature of Ganymede punctured, and become a bit bolder in his sexual behaviour.

Please switch to using music letters as version numbers, and append a new note each time. Eventually it will become the song for a new musical number with HanZi.

Okay, it took me a while, but, I finally found a note synthesizer. I think that I've heard that before, I think it sounds like it's from the 80's. I'm pretty sure that it used an electric piano. Yes, most of those are "mind stuff" there is a context to it all but yes you can decide not to see them or even miss them, but the game does a good job of telling you what is going to happen if you choose a certain option


edit: Mind stuff = dream-sequence, mind fuckery, stories being told etc...

tundralupus is right - you can choose not to watch any non-MC sex through your choices [and avoid all MC sex too, if you like - it's technically possible to play the game on an Abstention path by rejecting everything ]
