Just now I did a quick test on android Joiplay with the version here (before hotfix) and it worked fine. Try on just typing letters when the game asks you for a name and/or make sure you have the latest version of Joiplay and the renpy add-on.

It's absolute childsplay to port Ren'Py games to Mac yourself. But as the version currently posted here is bugged, I won't bother with it until the hotfix version is posted.

Mmm... it seems like when you escape from them you end up in some room with a bunch of slime like a swamp, there is a choice to move slowly or quickly, if you are quickly grabbed and fucked by tentacles.. If not this then I have no idea,

Don't need to do that, download Universal Renpy Mod/URM, put that in your "game" folder and then you can freely edit anything you want.
