The problem is not that I want money in the absence of a real game. The problem is that they consider me to be a fraud simply because my game is similar (damn, but it even does not look like!) to the game of another person.

I'm not shouting "I made a masterpiece, give me money!", I understand that my demo is nothing yet. But I have nothing against such an opinion. I just don't want to ME doused with mud simply because someone else doesn’t like SOMEONE.

As I said, there's nothing you can do about it other than put out better versions of your game. It isn't that you're both making Star Wars games, it's the other stuff that made people suspect. Any suspicion that you're DS will get forgotten if you come back in a month with a much better example of what you want to show. That is literally the only thing you can do to make people come around on this. Continually saying that you're not him won't do anything. Saying that it's not fair won't do anything.

Putting out a good game will show your potential, and this will be forgotten in time.

At the moment, the plot is focused only on the female character. In the future, it may be possible to choose between a male and a female with a parallel development of the plot.

Decent bar the Engrish, some of it is a proper pain in the hole to read through though. Maybe it's not that bad but it could use a bit of work before you go too deep with this.

To the dev, same advice as some of the other folks, ignore the scorned people, just do your thing. I for one look forward to watching this progress. I personally won't be pledging until there's a bit of content, but I don't blame the folks who have, this has serious potential.

Sure, xfiles. I've used this alias for about 8 years, but yeah, definitely a puppet.
Dude is actively posting in progress assets that look way better than that other game people are salty about. Show me where he's lifting that from or how this is remotely similar to the incredibly low-effort DAZ crap (that I could make after browsing this site for a few hours) and I might start to believe you. But until then, I haven't seen anything better than a flimsy thing about some guy's alt account advertising this too, which is nothing concrete at all.

Show me something better than some wayward paranoia and I promise I'll be right along with ya.

Hey Darth Smut, if you're going to create alts to promote your latest scam, please at least put some effort into it.

Edit, full disclosure:

• WhenTheShitHitsTheFan has been pushing Darth Smut's game since joining, shared fake/decoy builds of DS' game, the name is similar to a previous Darth Smut alt, and the account uses the same VPN as Darth Smut.
• WhenTheShitHitsTheFan originally posted the game, and despite using broken English on the public forum, used perfect English when pming multiple mods/staff asking for the thread to be moved to the games section.
• Within 10 minutes of WhenTheShitHitsTheFan posting the thread, before it was moved to the Games forum, the above 2 accounts Lady Pomegranate and Browberac posted the above comments.
• These 2 accounts have been inactive since their original registration date, both accounts are using TOR, and both just happened to login and promote the game within 5 mins of each other, having been inactive for 3 months.

From this, I feel it's relatively safe to draw the conclusion that the 3 accounts are all Darth Smut, however, I don't know if "Starlord Games" is actually Darth Smut, just that DS tried to promote the game here. You now know what we know, so draw your own conclusions.

So the average attention span just kinda died hardcore, huh? The post says plainly at the end that it doesn't discredit the developer and that it's simply noting that folks promoting it might have ties to this other guy. Doesn't really hold any water against the dev. Hell, even before I read Witar's comment, that seems like a more likely possibility than this being made by some other guy.

I've looked into development platforms like Unity before, I've tried something similar to what this demo contains, it's not black and white. I believe they have a tutorial for it but it still requires a bit more knowledge than downloading some assets into a free program, manipulating some bones and clicking render.

Unreal engine will be easier to get into then unity is. Just saying. Is has visual scripting, and as far as i'm aware you need to know c# quite good to do something apart from youtube guides on unity.
