LadyLana, I'm wondering if you will be using these same characters in the future. I am in love with the wife, especially her eyes and freckles. If she was a redhead, she would have been perfect.
Maybe I have to play the game again, because I didn't see any cheating. It seemed like the wife was letting hubby know everything. I do hope there is strong cheating, NTR in the next game.

What a weird ending...(on the faithful path). She didn t even sent MM (Maggot Markus) to hell....she did basically nothing. Hubby came back...they fucked...end of story...! :WaitWhat: How about talking about her weird behavior all the time...or her weird "friendship" with MaggotMarkus and his dog Jacob?? Now that would have been something...! How about a high five from the Hubby for MM...in the face....with a chair?? (y)

Frankly, the main plot of faithful is no longer has any meaning other than teasing. It is right to end it.

I don't think this one was built to be an epic that spanned years of development. It is more like one of the games from eHellJay or Dimajio333 that are WHAM BAM and thank you very much, ma'am. So I will take a completed game over whatever the fuck AWAM is doing in its nearly decade-long development.

My main thoughts are that this was a fun little game, but the constraints of the game worked against it a bit, as you can only see tiny little bits - a photo or two here, a 1-second repeated animation there. The ending was a bit abrupt in how the literal end screen came about (as I mention at the bottom of this post) but I don't think it was abrupt other than that in terms of the overall game, as that had been signposted.

Yes, some aspects felt like they were only just getting started, so it feels like a missed opportunity in that sense, but at the same time, there's only so much you can do with that and the design of the game. One thing I definitely would have liked is more to the initial threesome, as that had been built up at the end of the previous update and then was over so quick it felt pretty flat. The second one at least gave a bit more, but again it suffered from the usual issues with the game type (not enough of it, too quick and unvaried).

There was a definite cheating path. The main issue though is that once you get to a point where Patrick has direct confirmation of cheating (i.e., he sees it actually happening, rather than just hints, teases, and suspicions), he can either call Julia out and either lead to an early game over or he can call her out and say he actually likes it, so it switches to the sharing path. The other option is to not say anything, in which case she keeps cheating and he sees a few more instances of it, but nothing is ever said in their conversations, they just carry on as normal. If there was some variation there, him being cold in his responses etc., and/or some thought processes from him about it, it could have made a big difference.

On the faithful path, nothing happened, even though Markus clearly wanted it to. So although we may have wanted to, punching Markus would have been unwarranted.

If you consider the faithful path to be the main plot, then I suggest this game may have been lost on you.
In truth, the story was played out. There's not much they could do with the story on any of the routes except a tiny Epilogue.
It was clear from a few updates back that Patrick was going to be returning soon and, although not certain, that would likely end the game. I agree that a short epilogue for each route would have been good though, as the literal end was very sudden - either a fuck and then the end screen, or the walk out and then the end screen.

I liked how she kept the paths discreet till the end - there's no markus - jacob group scene if you went with markus earlier which is consistent.

This ^^ with endless games being abandoned or turning into milkmen approaching asymptotic releases, it's nice to see a dev not afraid to print "THE END". If people want more, she'll have another game coming.

It seems like the cheating route was done for the sake of it because there was very little excitement or drama. Patrick, knowing what was going on, never tried to arrive early enough to catch them in the act for the drama (jealousy? anger? betrayal?). I also don't understand why the trio of Julia, Markus, and Jacob weren't seen in cheating route after having sex beforehand.

The final options of the cheating route were very bad the way they played out, and I don't think many people liked it.

What a crap end to a good little game, with very little effort a couple more scenes to give the player an idea of how the couples relationship developed or ended.

Well, they didn't do either.

And I disagree that the game had no more gas left - the dev just clearly didn't want to work on it anymore. Which is fine, I guess. It's their right to stop developing the game whenever they want.

But someone here mentioned that the dev said from the start this game would have around 10 chapters. And if that's the case, then their planning skills are seriously lacking; this game was nowhere near the end. Even Patrick returning home (the ending point) was a surprise, not something he mentioned a few updates ago.

And what's worse, no epilogue whatsoever. For an AVN, the lack of words is astounding.

Overall, an unsatisfying finale to what was still a decent NTS story.

What do you mean by them not being seen in the cheating route after having sex beforehand? Do you mean that they didn't stick around, just disappeared after having sex with her?

As to the first bit, that probably should have been the option - instead of telling Julia he was coming home, Patrick should have just turned up unnannounced, and caught them having their threesome (or just Markus and Julia, depending on which route you were on). Similar to a scene in the epilogue of Exploring the Big Apple's cheating route, the couple get caught in the act by the husband and he launches himself at theother guy.

Feeling like the game had more gas in the tank does not equate to "the dev clearly didn't want to work on it anymore" - there are any number of reasons that could have led to it coming to an end now. One of those is the ten chapters bit you mention (I'd not seen that until someone said it the other day, so can't comment).

However, I'm sure Patrick had been saying for a while now that he was close to coming home - either for good or just for a break. I'd check on that, but sadly the way the messages are put together, you can't just search for keywords or phrases, and I don't have time to skim through them all!
