Guys am I tripping or did this game see 1 update in the span of almost 3 years?

There's something wrong with your numbers. This game doesn't even exist for a year yet. First release (0.1) was March 2020.
Version 0.2 was released last June. Version 0.2.3 (aka Episode 3) was released last November.
