I enjoy the art style. Hand drawn characters are the way to go.

So far, it's a short demo game. Nothing much going on, no sex scenes.

Most likely, I'll wait at least half a year for this game to be developed more.

Great Potential so far, but let's be real. This is NOT a Game Version 0.3.0 but a Proof of Concept / Demo 3rd Update.
I AM indeed curious, but I'll wait until the first Game Version releases.

The positives. The art is well done and appreciated when most games go with 3d renders. The map is crisp and well laid out. So far it's looking pretty good and ready to push a first update. The only bad thing at the moment is if you're expecting a decent amount of h scenes since its technically the 3rd update you won't get that. Very promising.

And end up getting paid more than what you would get for releasing a full game. Don't agree at all. Time patreon was shut down.
You don't have to pledge. Patreon is meant for supporting development not buying a game (even though that's what you're doing). Any alternative is going to be the same model.

No, because Patreon is about support the creator not subscribe for content. If you want to consider your game a hobby or a part time job or whatnot and would like some financial support in develop it, then Patron is a great way to go. Most adult games on Patreon get copied, spread and consumed with no actual cost for the consumer. For someone to spend a year or maybe more to create an game and release it to get next to nothing back for their trouble, Patreon is a much more desireable model.

Patreon itself is a good way to support people on a monthly basis. It's just not a good fit for game creation. Even triple-A games can be had for $60 or something, and paying potentially hundreds over the course of a year for some shitty "game" that only has H to offer to make it worth while makes no sense. I'm amazed anyone pays that. Hell, for a few hundred you can pay a hooker and get laid for real.

Patreon is fine. Game development via Patreon, not so much.

You're comparing what's most likely at best a 6 man team to a AAA studio with hundreds of employees that are making games that can be sold and distributed far easier than porn games to a much bigger audience. Patreon works for indie devs because they don't have the capital or resources to release a fully completed game just on their own. Which is why on goals they have hardware upgrades, hiring, etc etc.

You can't really compare Triple A game dev with adult games on Patreon though. The budget some triple A titles have today far outdo high budget movies. The number of sales needed to recover the cost is huge.

True if you support a creator on Patreon from start to finish on a project, the chance is you been paying a lot to get the final product. But reality of things is; we are not paying for the game, we are paying for the creator to complete the game, or at least support the creator with that in mind.

For 2d art I'd say that's not bad. For a 2d game he has a lot to do in terms of art. 2d takes far more time then 3d. Also the promo is now over so just wait to see how much content he puts into the first update.
