First post for me. I'm a huge fan of the game, and I'm looking forward to the next release.

I just wanted to mention and share with the dev(s) that I noticed a potential issue with the pole dancing mini-game. I'm not sure if this is a known issue or has been mentioned already. I did a search, but didn't see anything regarding it (though I admittedly didn't look too thoroughly), so I figured it was worth mentioning. Anyhow, the issue that I noticed is that the reaction time for the pole dancing mini-game seems to be influenced by the screen's refresh rate.

I have a dual monitor setup with my primary monitor at 120Hz, while my other monitor is 60Hz. The mini-game was almost impossible to get 'perfect' or even 'good' actions on the 120Hz display (unless you memorize the entire sequence and use 'back' to try it again). When I moved the game over to my 60Hz screen, it because MUCH easier (though still challenging IMHO).

Just thought I'd mention it, since I'd imagine that Fooxied would want consistency here. Most users with high refresh rates are probably getting an undesired and/or unfortunate experience when playing that mini-game, and they might not realize that it's potentially just because they have a monitor with a high refresh rate.

Sorry for my long ass post...

There is a good chance that this is probably a software issue not hardware (monitor refresh rate) - think codecs, python or other run-time/image rendering-processing related software or even video driver settings. (the list of software that can influence your Ren'py games on Windows is endless)

The game runs much smoother on my Linux than my W10 - on Linux that pole dance you mentioned is flawless. (I did my first all perfect dance on my Linux)

All those issues apply to MAC too just on much bigger scale.

P.S. On W10/W11 - Windows Photos can cause a ton of issues (I know since I had dealt with some in the past with other game) - I had to roll back to Legacy Windows Photos just because the new Photos have AI and cloud and bunch of other garbage now that can have very negative effects on things like Ren'Py games that rely on "image slide shows".

That's fair. I forgot to mention that I'm on Windows 10.

You had me questioning my own comment, so I went back and actually recorded 2 videos of the pole dance sequence. The 1st one was with my monitor at 120 Hz. I then recorded it with my monitor at 60 Hz. Same game session, I just used 'back' to repeat the attempt. I then used DaVinci Resolve to line up the videos so I could compare them at the first frame where the arrow icon appears just to verify the timings (because I'm a loser with nothing better to do apparently). What I discovered is that the timings were indeed inconsistent as I had initially suspected. The 60 Hz version had about 11 frames more response time for the 'Perfect' zone timing than the 120 Hz version.

My reaction times aren't what they used to be, so for me, that extra 11 frames make all the difference (even at 60 FPS). Regardless, I've yet to do a perfect dance.

I agree with you that the issue is most likely software related. I was just trying to say that the issue seems to be impacted by the refresh rate. I actually have many years of game development experience and know that this kind of refresh rate/FPS timing dependency issue isn't even that uncommon. I just wanted to share what I experienced with the dev in case they weren't aware.

Side note... I love the attention to detail in how Riley reacts differently if you fail miserably haha. Is there a different reaction to a perfect dance?

Sadly I'm pretty sure this is the shirt Mike had on in the previews, so we're probably still not getting Riley fucking another guy. At least not in this scene.
Fooxied does a great deal of special renderings for supporters. So there is a good chance none of these renderings are part of the story.

a quote from him just a few posts back.
You are clearly not aware of the fact that I don't share any previews that spoil the story.

Everything I share are bonus renders that are not connected with the main plot or are wallpapers made for supporters.

The correct previews are only on my Patreon and Discord and you can't say anything about the story based on them, except the thing that Riley is beautiful girl.

Episode 4.0 - progress update & release date

Hi everyone!

It's time to share our latest progress update. As usual, you’ll find the chart below.

J5jUpe9qGl0.jpg

As you can see, the scripts and written content for the game are now fully completed. For some time now, our writers have been working on future scenes to avoid unnecessary delays later on. The most time-consuming tasks remain rendering and animation, due to our current production capacity. We're actively looking for more skilled artists, but finding experienced professionals is a challenge. Lowering our quality standards is the last thing we want to do. We're also integrating the source code and testing everything so that only minor fixes will remain at the end.

We’re nearing the milestone of 2,000 renders, and we estimate the final count will be around 2,500–3,000. That’s a huge number, especially given how little time has passed since the last update. On top of that, this update will feature A LOT of animations. Besides the main scenes, we’re also planning to add a few extra features if time and resources allow.

Additionally, we’ve started working on translations for all the content currently in the game, so everything will be available simultaneously. On a side note, we’re happy to announce that a Polish translation will likely (95% certainty) be included as well, since many of you have requested it. We hope you’ll enjoy it!

Now for the most exciting news—the one you’ve probably been waiting for: Update 4.0 will launch on Monday, December 16th. Supporters in the +Lovers tier on Patreon will get early access on Friday, December 13th. That means we’re less than 30 days away from your holiday gift!

That’s all for now. We’re leaving you with a few renders and wish you a peaceful week ahead.

It's looking great, i'm really waiting for the update, SoD is one of my favorite games by now. I was thinking about Riley's boobs, on the preview pics the look way bigger than before, or are they the same size? I tried to compare the pics from her in the 3.2 version, but i'm not sure :D

Is has been discussed on here numerous times before and Fooxied has stated - they have never changed.

I think some you need to have your eyes checked, either that or your vision too skewed when your fapping.
