To each his own, I guess. At least the game is worth a try. I really love the urban fantasy setting, that's one of the reasons why I liked this game. And yeah, the dude looks a bit weird, but after "Being a Rockstar" MC, I think I can tolerate anythingOkay I tried playing Neverwhere Tales, MC just finished getting promoted (so, pretty early).
I think I gotta drop this, I can't do it.
The MC's face makes me laugh and it pulled me out of immersion. It's somehow unintentionally hilarious to me.
what's the 2 games you enjoyed? so we can have a better ideaSo guys, lately, I'm in the mood for some character driven dramas with a male protag. I'm a bit picky, and I can't even pin point exactly what makes me think one game is well written while another is meh.
I recently played Unbroken and Summer's Gone and enjoyed em quite a bit. But something like Intertwined, BaDIK, Artemis, or Becoming a Rockstar (since it was mentioned above lol) pretty much lost my interest along the way. Why.... why? They are more or less similar in style and scope, right? Personal preferences is a curious thing lol.
Maybe it's the "MC with a trauma" angle that's the difference? This type of MCs are usually featured in a story that isn't just about finding the perfect waifu, saving the damsels in distress, or fixing the broken girls. It's also about his own personal growth and healing, and how his trauma can impact the lives of others around him. Maybe that little bit of extra depth is what keeps me engaged.
Any suggestions based on this info? That trauma thing isn't a really a criteria, but it's just something I found in common in the two games I enjoyed recently.

I think almost everyone in this thread has played, and loved it, including me.Corporate Culture then
Unbroken, Summer's Gone.what's the 2 games you enjoyed? so we can have a better idea
You mean like a game where you play a two-bit thug who's out of prison for not too long, trying to get his life bit more on the rails but still doing questionable jobs here and there, going to school again, kicked out by his mother, not on speaking terms with one sister, no stable love interest, dealing with a corrupt parole officer... THEN an alien terminator pops in, forces a mission on him or threatens to execute him, upgrades his dick to 20 cm longer, gives him an alien demon smurf sidekick and off he goes to find a parasite, while all kinds of crooks are eager to pull him back into their schemes? So guys, lately, I'm in the mood for some character driven dramas with a male protag. You can't leave me hanging. No? Oh, okay.
It's that grindy Groundhog Day (Grindhog Day? may sound too furry) sandbox I told you about. But my post here was a teasing joke, that game's MC may be messed up in the head but I don't think he has a trauma. And I don't think it's really character-driven, more like a more exploration+story-driven Intertwined of corruption with lots of interrelated character arcs, but also way too much unavoidable rape for most posters here. It has a weird mix of seriousness, porniness and silliness too, though maybe it compares well to BaDik.You can't leave me hanging. What game is that?
Leaving DNA is updating this week.
I have enjoyed playing unselfish MCs a lot.Exactly. My idea comes from the fact that MC's buddy / sidekick very seldom gets any girls, while all the girls fawn over MC. So my idea was for doing the opposite with a selfless (reminder: selfless does not mean weak!) MC who only care about the happiness of their friends and their own happiness is derived from seeing their friends happy.
is this renpy or rpgm? You mean like a game where you play a two-bit thug who's out of prison for not too long, trying to get his life bit more on the rails but still doing questionable jobs here and there, going to school again, kicked out by his mother, not on speaking terms with one sister, no stable love interest, dealing with a corrupt parole officer... Toro 7. Not all sex scenes can be called intimate. But there are some great intimate scenes.Anyone have recommendations for games with well written intimacy sex scenes? I am a huge sucker for games where people hold hands and make out while having sex, especially with a coherent plotline. I find only a few games that cover it in a way that I find satisfying. Love, Lust Rock & Roll has some very great intimate scenes, though it does not have much of a satisfying story that would make the scenes feel like a great pay off.
Now & Then is introducing intimacy rather slowly with lots of kissing.Anyone have recommendations for games with well written intimacy sex scenes? It's a shame kissing is such an afterthought. The complete lack of eroticism and connection in most AVN sex scenes is a big turn-off for me, and it feels like most AVN devs are completely ignorant of what makes sex so enjoyable. That being said, there is a severe and inexcusable lack of sensual kissing in AVNs.
I think the best kissing scenes I've seen are from "Summer's Gone" with Bella. The chemistry between Bella and MC makes you itch with anticipation. For me as long as there is a pay off, I am okay with it. I read AVNs for the adult themes that can explore sex in a positive way, including with a healthy dose of intimacy. Honestly sometimes its so much hotter with less.I think the best kissing scenes I've seen are from "Summer's Gone" with Bella. The chemistry between Bella and MC makes you itch with anticipation.
