What a find! Love this game. The world needs more romantic non-hetero stuff like this. The quick-to-the-point (masturbatory) material provided by most other gay adult games can sometimes get tiresome.
Really liked Braden from the beginning, Later on, as the mask fell off, Zack became more relatable and lovable. And I wish I had a buddy/wingman like Mikhail in RL. Minus the unrequited love, that is.

Maybe this discussion belongs in the off-topic section, but I think the Pride thing has done a lot to needlessly antagonise people, particularly in religious countries like yours. Even in countries that have proper gay rights, they didn’t show up overnight or without hard work. It was always a matter of getting the majority to play along.

Celebrating freedom and love in a respectful way would certainly be a good thing and useful in the long and tortuous process of building such consensus. That would humanise us in the eyes of people who don’t feel strongly either way.
On the one hand, flamboyantly glorifying irresponsibility and promiscuity is a step backwards. Silly antics, particularly when performed in the name of us all, make it too easy for conservatives to “other” us. It also makes people who don’t give a shit, the neutrals, disapprove of us when we need them to at least stay neutral.

In the West, we also need to remember that the Third World has internet and television. A Pride march that looks like a cum-drenched sexfest will be seen there and is ammunition for bigots, making things more difficult for our brothers and sisters everywhere. It even fuels anti-Western sentiments.

There are many LBGT people who are alienated by this movement and feel like they are being expected to adopt an extroverted “lifestyle”. That is, drop one mask for another. This makes Zack’s position in this game very relatable indeed.

Aaryn has said before that the intent is for consequences to become increasingly significant as the story progresses. I asked that before too and got a similar answer. Apparently the intent is to make them seem innocuous at first only to hit you like a bag of bricks much later.

Not because it isn't good but I feel there's too little text in each screen and I tend to lose interest in having to click dozens of times to get to the next scene. Also the images change in small ways during this long scenes (movements of lips or a slight turning of the head) so if you're concentrating on reading the text and clicking next every few seconds to get to the next text, these minute changes are distracting and slows down the reading.

Heya, first off: all feedback is taken constructively if intended constructively. That's the main reason i posted the original version of the game on the forums in the first place.

The short lines of text and multiple pics have been used throughout the game and are mostly used to show subtle changes in facial expressions and emotion. IMO, these are needed to help give context to some of the dialogue. For example, Braden's character is sarcastic and sometimes he will say something serious and then follow it up with something sarcastic. The devious smirk of his helps convey the difference in tone. This game is also heavily dialogue driven and will continue to be that way. I guess I assume that people will focus on the picture and the text together and not just read the text. It seems that most people who enjoy the updates tend to read them slowly rather than burn through them quickly though.

While a lot of feedback or suggestions is either obvious to me (my continued need to improve lighting and the shitty quality CGs at the beginning of the game when i had zero idea what i was doing; i also don't like the repetition at the beginning of the game), you're the first person to make a suggestion like this. So would you suggest one static image while characters talk for long periods of time and avoid the changes in facial expression or mouths moving? I mean, that would be super easy but I feel like it would completely break the immersion.

I don't expect you to change the mechanics just based off of my feedback. Maybe do a Patreon poll or something? Because like you said, I might be the only person with this opinion. Elaborating a bit on what I said earlier, say you have two renders A and B and you're switching back and forth between them to add some dynamism and you have two to three sentences per scene/transition. So the transition goes ABABABABABAB. Each time the scene changes, I look at the image to see if there's any detail that changed that I haven't seen before and then read two sentences before clicking on the next and check the image and read the next two sentences. There are places where one or two sentences or even a single word per scene is necessary for suspense, but I'm not talking about those instances. There are places in the game where the number of transitions could have been reduced by including more than two sentences per scene without changing the pace or tone. So if the transitions could have been reduced to ABABAB, readers would shift back and forth the image and text fewer times. It's similar to watching a foreign language movie with subtitles-you tend to miss bits of the visual and text sometimes. You can set your own pace in a visual novel like this but having just a couple of sentences per scene and switching between the same two images over a long period can cause visual and mental fatigue. Which is why I tend to speed read-look at certain keywords, stop where ever it looks interesting/important to read the whole thing and skip scenes that seem like fillers.
